Tbf to Arteta he made a decent point when praising his players. "Have you watched Newcastle? They don't play like that, that's credit to my players for stopping them" So he gets it in terms of how we play
-
Honestly impressed Lampard made it this far. He was the first manager I thought would get the sack this season
-
Speaking from their ivory tower of a massive 2 more goals than us 9 of which were only because of Bournemouth Aye, the team with the league's 3rd best goal difference just suck the life out of games. Outstanding logic Ah hold on, it's a Man United forum, even funnier
-
Never known a player go out of their way to ruin their own good thing as much as Murphy.
-
Neville's a stupid nutter man. He said no one was afraid of Messi anymore 2 weeks before he went and won the World Cup and Player of the Tournament
-
I almost can't believe I hadn't noticed how good he was at Burnley. Everything he does looks quite easy and sort of basic and unspectacular, but that must obviously be part of why he's so good
-
Comes in and breaks the club record for successive clean sheets within 20 games. Unreal
-
I'm sorry like, but if that Burn shirt pull is a pen, which it could well be, then so is Burn getting barged to the ground by Partey from our free kick. What did we get? A free kick against us, way more 'scandalous'
-
2 penalties Aye reet Lego heed
-
It was a group effort from him Joelinton and Willock like , Saka had him on toast, but he got better later on.
-
Artera's interview should be funny
-
If it's a pen by Burn in the second half, it's a pen on Burn in the first half. They're clutching for straws
-
He's played Man City, Arsenal, Man United, Chelsea, and Spurs. Conceded 4 - 3 of which were Man City- 3 clean sheets, and didn't lose any of them.
-
Thought Willock was our MOTM like. We were largely useless in transition but he was really good and if we'd had more players at his level we might have even got something
-
Probably just MOTM for me tonight. Chipped in with Joelinton to help out Burn but was also by far our best player in transition.
-
Yep. First time they've failed to score as well.
-
Fucking hell that was hard Best team we've played by an absolute mile in terms of stopping us from being able to play our own game. Excellent result, not a great performance but I can't fault the effort in the circumstances Pope: 8.5 Trippier: 7.5 Schar: 7.5 Botman: 8 Burn: 8 Bruno: 7 Willock: 8.5 Longstaff: 6 Joelinton: 8 Wilson: 6 Almiron: 8 Wood: 6 Murphy: 6

Someone's getting sent off here, Bobby Madley shouldn't be anywhere near a match like this. Utter clown.
-
That's fair enough, just don't forget that we have 3 covering because we found out in the first 5 minutes that 2 wasn't enough. I take your point though
-
At the moment Joelinton and Willock are both helping Burn out. You bring ASM on and one of them will help Burn but ASM won't be, it's not his strength.
-
But then you'd have ASM where Joelinton was. At the moment Joelinton and Willock are both helping Burn out.
-
Because it's not just Joelinton we need, it's Willock as well. Both are defensively diligent
-
As usual mind, I think Neville and Merson are largely talking shit about us not being a threat.
-
Bringing ASM on is suicide unless we're already behind or there's 5 minutes left imo. Saka would instantly be unlocked
-
I'd have taken 0-0 at half time. Arsenal have basically done to us what we've done to most other teams and we're being forced into errors. We got better as the ref started to lose control of the game. Not the performance I expected or wanted, but maybe the one that's needed? If there's a way to beat Arsenal playing our usual game we definitely haven't found it yet. Joelinton should have scored obviously, Xhaka should be either off or have no card at all if the ref was in any way consistent. Hopefully we improve second half.
