  1. Aye exactly, I wouldn't mind having a decent mackem poster on here, but a few plonkers have to ruin it for everyone
  2. Best, Charlton, Greaves Can't think of any in my time watching football though.
  3. It's all just too on the nose like. You know how Leicester being in trouble post-covid was a bit of surprise? As are all these other 'well run' clubs who suddenly find themselves in bother. This Chelsea set up is just fucking mad, they're going on like that Michael Carroll did after he won the lottery.
  4. Fucking hell, do you have a humiliation fetish?
  5. He makes Steve Wigley sound like Muhammad Ali
  6. I remember everyone being jealous of Leicester when they signed Tielemans like. And he looked absolutely class. I suppose it depends on how your team's set up, but I've definitely noticed players breezing past him as well mind, not just when Willock did it. I know it's more miles on the clock than a player's age, but 25 strikes me as far too young to be past it like, even if he'd started at 16.
  7. Yeah, it was weird how Bale went to Madrid, imo succeeded, and it somehow made him rated less than he was before going there Absolutely incredible player like, that season he had for Spurs was definitely in and around Shearer 94/95, Ronaldo 08/09, and Suarez 13/14 in terms of the best individual season I've seen from a player.
  8. Every manager that's either been sacked or left in my lifetime, bar Keegan x2, SBR, Hughton, and Rafa were all largely welcomed.
  9. Wandy's doing his best to make me side with the mackem here.
  10. Aye, it's mad watching these interactions in real time and seeing some people start from a point of disdain towards someone and then work from there, rather than how you would in real life and just taking people as they come.
  11. You might not believe it considering my aloof-but-relatable online persona, but I was once one of those 13 year old lads. For some of us the internet existed when we were 13?
  12. I love how whenever a mackem comes on here it's like when a lass drops into an online game full of 13 year old lads trying to play it cool, who then inevitably immediately lose the plot.
  13. I hadn't realised just how fucked they were with injuries. I thought it was Maddison and maybe a couple of other fringe players. Reading on their forum, it's 9 out including Maddison, 3 of their first choice back 4, and 2 of their other regular midfield starters. We should beat them, but these are the matches I shit myself over
  14. Looking on Foxestalk, that seems to be a very minority opinion, most of them are talking about saving their petrol and not coming.
  15. Would be a very typical football thing to happen for us to dick these 3-0 away then lose to them at home. Not being pessemistic or anything, it's just why football's often so good, because weird things like that tend to happen often. Agree that us getting an early goal would be great. Under previous managers it would often be the worse thing that could happen to us because it would inevitably mean us hanging on for dear life for the rest of the match, but I don't have that worry under Howe - not unless it's then still 1-0 with 10 minutes left.
  16. Haven't seen anyone on here slagging Edinburgh off, but if they're trying to mock Newcastle it's a bit of a self own considering they're largely both in exactly the same 19th century style.
  17. Choked up over Vialli there like, such a shame
  18. It'll be nice to quite like him again rather than just when he's in an England shirt.
  19. Honestly thought he had more about him than going to Chelsea mind. I get that he has ambition, but it seemed so unbelievably naive to go there.
  20. Unlucky Havertz ye overrated smack rat
  21. Maybe not even that! The links with Isak felt tenuous at best to me and then suddenly we were signing him.
  22. Gazza was always actually up to antics though, same as the other players that have been mentioned. The antics ASM has got up to amount to going to DisneyLand while injured or playing a board game. Point being, never has there been so much smoke for such little fire, if that makes sense.
  23. Leeds never felt like a football city when I lived there. Rugby and cricket felt just as popular, if not more so.
