This does seem like exactly the moment where Spurs move in like. And we are left sat on a rock wanking and crying

£30m + add ons seems reasonable for him.

Just hope we don’t sign Scalvini. Can’t be having him overload on pasta, slurping red wine and fags of an evening and asking to be subbed off at halftime at early kickoffs for his siesta.

Big Ron Atkinson would have soundly endorsed this
  5. Can I have the name of your dealer please?😂
  6. That’s the transfer window equivalent of an air fryer tea from the freezer

Take the price you think they will accept. Chop about 30% off it. Dig into the bag of excuses when it’s inevitably rejected.
  8. Yeah. This has been holding us back just as much as PSR and competition from the big 6. Just been a toxic combo for the last few windows.
  9. So it’s gunna take some time to formalise interest in other striking targets that have yet to be determined? If that’s even remotely true, what the fuck are we even playing at here?
  10. Another day down and absolutely zero movement (that we know of). Not looking great . . . . .

Seems a bit, I dunno, desperate. He’s a good player - does he massively improve us for the money? Im not so sure. Does he offer anything really different? Again, not sure. Maybe looking at this through transfer fatigue though - had this link appeared a few weeks ago probably would have been all for it. I dunno. Can we just fast forward until the start of the season please? This is all just a bit shit.
  12. What hope do we have when they can offer a player with one decent season under his belt more money than our highest earner by a country mile. Fuck it off man.
  13. I’ll see you that article and raise you a Jack Grealish. . . .
  14. Aye it doesn’t really tell us anything that we haven’t already mused on here. Bit shit to have it all semi-confirmed though. It’s a bit of a mess. Not totally beyond repair like but we’ll deffo go into the season short of where we need to be.
  15. We were willing to shell out for Ekitike. . . .
  16. Any particular reason why we haven’t thrown one of our tentative low ball bids in for Sesko? Everybody seems to have massively cooled on him, unless they’re waiting until nearer the end of the window to see who blinks first.
  17. If that’s the case then honestly what’s even the point of trying to compete. The yanks have done a superb job in the last few years of snatching the ladder up and turning it in the NBA where a handful of teams get all the help they need because of their marketing pull and big fan base. But for everyone else it’s just a case of taking part, smiling and nodding in all the right places and being grateful for the scraps off the top table. Oh and if you want to join that top table, every conceivable avenue is instantly blocked through a slew of (sometimes illegal) fast tracked legislation and rules. The whole thing is irreparably fucked. Let those cunts have their super league and leave the traditional league to the rest of us in peace.
  18. Needs to be some sort of movement (players in!🙈) this week or I can see Howe having a serious think about wether or not he’s getting the proper support (he currently isn’t).
  19. He’s clearly not a well man. Has his demons and seemingly has had them for a number of years, they’ve only become worse since he retired. A one off personality, literally the walking embodiment of Italia 90 and all the wonderful nostalgia that comes with it. I hope at some point in his life he finds health and peace. We’re all rooting for you Gazza.
  20. Im surprised that one of the worlds biggest sovereign wealth funds, one with a history of successfully investing in and growing some of the worlds largest brands - has been so fucking naive. The football world isn’t like the business world - it’s fast paced (especially during the transfer window), it’s more cutthroat and it can swing from jeopardy to jubilation in the space to a week. There needs to be a proper decision maker on the ground who has complete autonomy with it having to defer to Riyadh for every decision. Stavely seemed to have their trust to operate as she saw fit - she needs to be properly replaced. Things just clearly aren’t working.
  21. Im going for the 2nd window that Howe has been badly let down.
  22. It’s just dawned on me that we will probably get to keep him for another season/he may even sign an extension - and the top brass/arse licking journos will spin it to us that this is a good transfer window. So Ashley/Pardew/Llambias era it’s untrue🙈
