Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season
BennyBlanco replied to InspectorCoarse's topic in Football
I hope he’s got enough in his locker to dig us out of this slump. I’ll echo a few others and reiterate the need to be brave to drop some of the stalwarts from last year. Been painfully obvious to us laymen that Burn and Almirons limitations have started to impact directly on results. Livramento should be playing as a starter, simple as that, dunno why he’s been dropped the last few games. Amazing what’s happened when he’s come on though. If January comes and goes and we haven’t strengthened then I’ll be very worried and wary of our future under Eddie. -
According to the Swedish Rumble twitter account the minimum punishment he can expect from the Italian FA is a three year ban if found guilty. How that would migrate over to him playing in England, I haven’t a clue. But this doesn’t look good. Apparently there’s a group of Italians who have been at it for ages and this story broke as part of a v dodgy paparazzo’s revenge on Italian football. He’s since gone missing.

That’s how they win though isn’t it. They’re so patient on the ball. Just probe and probe all game.

Tonalis touch and passing has been. . . .Errrm. . . .Not great.

I’m sat on the beach in icmeler and this game is all I’ve thought about for the last 4 hours. The sun, the sea and the sand can go and take a Frenchman’s flying fuck. I just wanna win this game man. I hope to Christ Eddie doesn’t shit his pants and start Miggy ahead of Gordon. -

Anderson and Gordon starting. I hope they do the business today. I’m slightly more confident now than I was. Really think this could be a break out year for the both of them with a little luck. Proper need a result here to settle some nerves and shut some mouths in the media. -

Would love to see Longstaff back in the starting lineup. Is Willock fit too? -
Another dobber that we somehow got persuaded to take off Man United was Smith. We’ve had a few of them down the years. Looks like the days of us rooting through their bins are well and truly over mind you.

I’ve mixed feelings. A draw is the most likely result in my mind, we just just look a bit lost, Brighton was a truly terrible performance the likes of which we’ve not seen since the cabbage was in charge. I’ll be slightly pissed off if we are totally unchanged. Wilson should start this one and I’d like to see what Barnes can do given the chance. -

Biting the pillow a bit at the moment. -
Just out of interest who are these strong characters? The most vocal player you had the other night was Varane and that’s saying summat. I’d say lack of leadership and character in the dressing room was one of your biggest failings. . . .

For all of his fuckery, bacon face Ferguson didn’t take no bullshit when it came to sullying the name of the club. If you put the clubs reputation at stake then you were gone. Man United can’t win here and I’m absolutely here for it. They either cut their losses on a huge young talent or they sink to the morally bankrupt levels of your average Liverpool fan. It’s fuckin glorious. It could massively affect their season.

I know one thing. Onana has at least one mistake in him per game. Makes erratic Barthez like decisions as well. He will cost them points and he will have the fans on his back before long.
-
Man U looking very very ordinary. Cunha is having their back four on toast.

Well what can be said about that? We just look so full of confidence, passing the ball around with real guile and our movement in the last third was a joy to see. Gordon, Barnes, Tonali, Isak et al are going to be a force to be reckoned with this year make no mistake. My only worry was they seemed to target Burn and his lack of pace on the break, Diaby caused him problems throughout the first half and on another day it could have been more of an issue than it was. We need a proper athletic left back if we want to progress - wether or not we play Livramento there remains to be seen. I’m really excited for this season, we have a great squad, a superb manager and that atmosphere yesterday was incredible - these are all really potent ingredients for success. Long may this continue!

Any links to this? My fire stick ain’t got it on yet and I’ve a bastard of a nightshift to try and shirk?
