  1. Suppose we’ll find out if the CAT case is streamed live and direct won’t we.
  2. Genuinely baffled at why he’d want to take it after all this. He doesn’t deserve it, he doesn’t need it and the Everton lot should be rightly ashamed of themselves for that.
  3. I’m guessing that it doesn’t really and because of this fact City don’t get any mither from it. Would be highly surprised if these exact points and examples weren’t raised though.
  4. Don’t think it ever was meant to be that tbh. I think it was another stick to beat the premier league with publicly. CAT might be the longest of long shots, I think Ashley’s legal team are using the public nature of its process to scare the premier league shitless. The last thing they want is all of their dirty washing live streamed for all and sundry to see.
  5. Holland have been absolutely awful here. So far away from the exciting team they used to be. Don't really know of any exciting prospects either coming through for em.
  6. Very hit and miss. Hasn't exactly torn it up when he's playing consistently at the highest level. Couldn't hack it in the prem could he?
  7. A little piece of me died inside when I realised that the very people asking burnsie and the 4 amigos for "the latest news" on a complicated legal process they know nothing about are the same people that get a say in who runs the country every 4/5 years or so.
  8. There is no way you can know that for definite.
  9. The amigos man. It hurts me eyes to see grown men attention seeking so much. That pork cyclinder of a dentist is the worst of the lot - utter braggard.
  10. Any legal eagles know anything about CAT proceedings? For example should the judge decide that there is a case to answer here could the premier league settle with NUFC to avoid a public, potentially embarrassing, hearing?
  11. I think he was their first choice but just couldn’t turn down a project that’s right on his doorstep. Already sounds like Everton fans are giving him grief though - the fools. Don’t think this is any indicator of the takeover one way or the other.
  12. Right club in many ways but the fans won’t forgive his success at Liverpool. I’m a bit gutted we couldn’t get this takeover over the line in time to offer him a chance to return. Never say never though - he may back one day.
  13. I don’t think Rafa going to another club is in anyway an indicator of anything. As we’ve seen, it’s been close before only for the league to start playing silly beggars under pressure from BeIn et al. He’d be daft not speak to Everton - taking his history with Liverpool out of the equation it fits most of his widely known criteria for a “project”. I’d love for him to come back, I’m sure the consortium would too - it’s a very easy early win for them - but sometimes the timing is never quite right and he can’t be expected to hold out in perpetuity can he?
  14. He comes across as someone who takes his reputation and the recognition of his abilities very seriously. He’s far too self aware for these shots and the excitement they generate in some sections of our support, to be doing it all accidentally. The cans and the dropped barrier are obvious nods to the takeover process. What’s important to remember though is that it’s very very one sided the noise that we are hearing, the premier league may be just as confident.
  15. I’m doing my utmost to strap my boner down but there’s always the nagging noises of “why’s it not already happened yet?” in the back of my mind. If the jungle drums beat true then Ashley and the consortium believe the premier league has been backed into a corner - if this was true surely the league would have been advised of this by their legal team and would just rubber stamp it to avoid a messy and potentially embarrassing few weeks in court. I dunno. I really really want to believe this new positive noise but well, we’ve been here before haven’t we?
  16. Fair play, cheers for clearing that up. At this point I’m clinging to anything that seems ever so slightly positive. Firmly of the opinion that the league will come out on top though, we’re Newcastle, we aren’t allowed to have something nice!?
  17. I’m sure I read somewhere that the premier league wanted access to a key piece of evidence that NUFC submitted as part of the CAT case but were denied by the judge. I believe it was in the same request for an extension. Funny how they’ve wanted some transparency.
  18. Idiot boomers at pubs and idiot boomers at pubs on twitter. Is “boomer” the right on version of “snowflake”? I’ve lost track of what’s cool anymore. . .
  19. I do think fucking him off as soon as the takeover is complete is a bit shit tbh.
  20. I’ve actually been won over by Bruce in this takeover period. He’s shown a lot of class and I do believe he’s being genuine when he says he wants what’s best for the club. He hasn’t made a terrible account of himself either this year. Am I naive enough to he’ll do a top job with a load of money? No. Do I think we should at least give him a fair crack of the whip? Absolutely. He’s earned it for me.
  21. Actually quite good to see the media move behind giving the league a kick up the arse for the way they’ve treated us as fans. They’ve come out of this looking absolutely weak as piss. BeIN shouldn’t have had half the say and influence they have done and these tests have been wrongly used as moral rather than financial checks. I think the premier league have boxed themselves into a corner with this decision. They’ve huge political pressure to deny the saudis but I think they know that Ashley/PIF will rinse them in court should they bow to said pressure.
  22. Me personally, I think the prem are going to shit themselves and bow to pressure from other clubs in the league not to allow it. It's a nice closed shop up at the top and the other traditional big boys don't want someone else eating at the top table at their expense.
  23. Do you think it’s possible to bottle up Richard Keys utter dismay for future use? His head has well and truly fallen off here and it’s glorious to see. Clearly hates us, clearly knows this is a game changer for the entire premier league and it’s causing him immense pain and anguish. Mint.
