  1. Speculation linking us with Elanga this morning. He went to Forest for 17.5m, last year; 5 goals, 9 assists. Still only 22, three caps for Sweden. More affordable option if Miggy goes?
  2. .com has Isak at £60m. Not certain about any additional payments. I’m guessing we’ll pay >=£55m for Guehi plus up to £10m add ons.
  3. Don’t recall anybody saying that, let alone a crowd. We’ve bid for (at least) two £50m+ players, though doubt we’d have gone for Guehi if we’d got Olise. I think we will sign Guehi and in doing so make him our record signing. We’ll also have provisional ‘agreements’ in place for a right sided forward. Probably dependent on getting an acceptable bid and Miggy agreeing to leave. Add this to the other business (first team and for development/investment signings) and our outlay will have been significantly more than most expected and about as good as we could have hoped for.

Hope the water’s cleaner than @PauloGeordio’s looks!
  5. Decided to go with this to start. Still want to join N-O league though!
  6. Why were they keen to shove Gallagher out the door after his best ever form and international appearances?
  7. I am already cringing at the prospect of him doing the ‘local’ accent interview.
  8. Good point. December results, compared to what we expected, really damaged us last year.
  9. From the limited amount we’ve seen of him, so far, I’m convinced he’ll get minutes/opportunities early this season. It’s then up to him. 🤞
  10. Nice post but can’t be having this being presented as fact. I think it was simply Liverpool Echo shit stirring.
  11. Well after scouring the streets of Newcastle on Saturday morning, I think right wingers are really thin on the ground
  12. He got bullied a bit by an experienced and, sometimes nasty, opponent. Lots to build on, look forward to. But I think the lad needs a bit of experience playing against men. Before he is expected to play against really good men.

Our results/points return against the bottom few sides was relatively poor. Can’t recall at the mo, but we did far worse than expected and than our nearest rivals.
  14. Wow that just over probably puts you in the fastest 500 British men ever.
  15. As young and as raw as he undoubtedly is, he was a much better option in that role than Barnes, who replaced him (unsurprisingly).
  16. Suspect we’d end up with a sticky pool of plastic. It was hilarious watching Tripps walking off with it (horizontal in one hand with base first) as if he felt it beneath him. Anyhoo… I like a trophy so here we go!
  17. They’re pressing better than Girona who gave us loads of space. They’re also leaving a bit in there on the tackles; not good to see pre season.
  18. I’ve been keeping an eye on Osula. Good movement holding his position well. Looks quick. Two footed. Slotting them away like a bastard in the warm-up. Shame about the offside goal would have done him the world of good.
