  1. Up turn in form incoming? not suggesting he’s been playing within himself, just this kind of commitment can lead to increased engagement (best word I could think of).
  2. Having similar vibes, couldn’t bring myself to predict a loss or draw, but keep thinking (god knows why) of the Sheff Wed and Tranmere cup games last season. Think it is going to be a battle; hope we’re up for it.
  3. I think you have captured the feelings of many, Chris. You certainly have mine.
  4. Did somebody say something? Feel I need to purchase a tin of unblocking Jam; on the same aisle as Swarfega in B&Q.

Save you hitting the link. Ted and George Robledo. Ted (1928-1970), NUFC 1949-1953 p37 0 goals, left-sided wing back; and George (1926-1989) same 4 years, p146 82 goals, striker.
  7. It’s pretty easy to just skip over messages to be fair. No need to get rattled/rise to it.
  8. Well… to be fair all those steamy evenings in Two Ball (six ball?) Lonnen Social Club’s sex dungeon probably blurred into one through the mists of time, Super Goalie.
  9. For what it is worth, I imagined, and would still like to see them, playing as if they were joined by a long rubber band (best metaphor I can think of). Never more than 20 yards between them, sometimes one in advance of the other, sometimes both forward or both back. At all times offering an option for each other and one always free to receive from defence, or backwards from a forward.
  10. We were good against Forest—very one sided game and could have been a much higher score line.
  11. 25 shots to 6; 9 on target to 1. Come on, man. We were beaten 3-1 by Brighton and the shots totals were 15 to 9 (6 to 2 on target). Great CL result for us but we definitely had the rub of the green.
  12. Good stuff! Hope you have a great time visiting Newcastle. If fans are respectful they will have a very warm welcome.
  13. Despite all the talk of our poor start, if we win the next two games (Sheff Utd away and Burnley at home), for what my estimate is worth, we will be above the points total predicted for the end of September, which would be compatible with a sixth place finish (taking into account relative difficulty of games at different stages of the season).
  14. You (collectively) gave a great account of yourselves and the club. Loved hearing the singing at the end, when we needed the kind of push that can come from knowing your fans are with you, and occasion bits which came through at other times. I was really pissed off that the TV didn’t show our fans until about the 90th minute, unless I missed something earlier?
  15. Taking a wild guess, I’d say it (I.e. the should have been comfortably beaten comment) was probably to do with the 15 shots to 2—7 to 0 on target—difference between the teams. When was the last time we had two shots/none on target and did we get anything out of the game?
  16. Result, literally. We were really lucky to escape without conceding (some comical finishing). But god knows we’ve had our share of bad luck. That said, I could see us beating them at SJP; unfortunately about as much as I can seeing us getting turnover by them—great at breaking/counter attacking.
  17. Well can’t help thinking that shirt pull on Murphy and shove on Longy would have resulted in free kicks for home side.
  18. Who is the fecking director, not one shot of our fans.
  19. Binge watch Yellowstone too mate. Just as entertaining (hopefully).
