  1. About one for everytime I need a new beer. Considerate!
  2. It’s a cracking game, for me. Just shame that we’re not winning or (at this point) looking likely to. Think we’ll score though. Three more goals second half. Hopefully in our favour.
  3. Everything going down the right, or at least most things. Need to mix it up a bit more.
  4. Wasn’t a pen like. Unfortunately/fortunately delete as appropriate.
  5. Think we’ll see Miggy rather than Gordon, but could do with his aggression (controlled obvs).
  6. Not wrong. It’s the little moments (with big implications) from Murphy and Willock. Good players, but perhaps a ‘punching’ a bit.
  7. Well that was all a bit juicy at the end. Have to say, love a bit of niggle in a game. Trips-Jesus, Wilson-The ugly Swiss. Good watch.
  8. Great game for the neutral. We’re in there slugging it out.
  9. Meaningless stats request: what is the record for the most times a player has hit the woodwork in a season?!?!
  10. Just watched last season’s extended highlights (to be recommended…). We’re definitely stronger. Hope it is just as loud. Unleash the beasts indeed!
  11. Gameweek 35 Bournemouth 1-0 Chelsea Man City 3-1 Leeds Spurs 2-1 Palace Wolves 1-2 Villa Liverpool 3-2 Brentford Newcastle 2-2 Arsenal West Ham 1-2 Man Utd Fulham 2-1 Leicester Brighton 3-1 Everton Forest 2-1 Southampton
  12. Using the dates 23.5.2007 (ownership) and 20.10.21 (new chair etc) as the changeover dates, there are 12 full seasons (2007-08 to 2020-21) in the Premier League. The GD ranges between +5 in (2011-12, 5th place finish) and -23 (2012-13 and 2014-15). Cumulative GD for those full seasons is -184. For 580, Against 764.
  13. He’s not really got much of a back catalogue to savour (yet). Recall people saying the same about Miggy re ball striking, on the basis of many more seasons. Let’s hope I’m right ?
  14. Give me a first game and last game and I can tell you.
  15. Prediction. Double figures next season.
  16. Player of the Season: Too many to mention Flop: None Most Improved: Murphy Unsung Hero: Longstaff Signing: Isak
  17. Thanks ? Forgot to change the number of games played.
  18. Didn’t lose in January either, though only two league games (Watford H, draw; Leeds A, win).
  19. There was an error in the last one of these I posted (apols) before the Spurs game. This is corrected and updated below with the three extra wins since then.
  20. Updated prediction chart, for end of April. After this many games (all PL seasons) we are two points above the average for third place and 6 points above the average for fourth place.
  21. I don’t think there’s much chance of that, but I do think we need to re-think the whole ‘aren’t we doing well with limited players’ narrative. Almiron and Joelinton (obviously) have shown their true level and are less controversial top of the table type players. There may well come a time (and it might well be now) when the contributions and consistency of Longstaff, Willock and Murphy (feel free to add Burn, Targett and others to the list) forces a re-categorisation from mid-table players at best (…we have all thought/said worse than that) to recognition of their achieved potential as top six worthy ballers.
  22. Just seen how tight it still is for play-off places. One game to go and two from Coventry (69pts,+12gd), Millwall (68, +8), Sunderland (66,+12), West Brom (66, +7) to take last two play-off places.
