  1. Just in case a bit of celebratory scarf twirling is required at full time… round back of shoulders and tucked down arms. Could even tie on some mittens for the hell of it!
  2. There’s some blurb, you’ve probs seen… ‘Club colours and are not permitted in any Club Wembley area, and should they be worn, you may be refused entry or be removed from the stadium for your own safety - you will not be entitled to a refund should his happen. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes club hats and scarves as well as items of clothing in the colours of either team.’ They surely can’t refuse entry if you’re in normal clothes which happen to be/include b&w?
  3. I know! Was thinking of putting through the arms of my coat for a celebratory or otherwise appreciative twirl at the end ?‍♂️
  4. Kevin Keegan black and white t-shirt (discreetly covered on entry), Ginola socks and B&W briefs (discreetly covered at all times… possibly).
  5. Block 238, tall, dark, hunk of Geordie manliness ?(… aka a lanky specky get!)
  6. Gameweek 25 Fulham 1-2 Wolves Everton 1-2 Villa Leeds 1-1 Southampton Leicester 2-3 Arsenal West Ham 1-1 Forest Bournemouth 0-1 Man City Palace 2-2 Liverpool Spurs 1-1 Chelsea Arsenal 1-0 Everton Liverpool 2-1 Wolves
  7. Thanks for info/reassurance! Yep, seems quite a few bit the bullet. Missed out on ballot so pleased I did. I wonder who bought the tickets first?? Bet there was quite a bit variation in price paid!
  8. So that’s at least five of us still awaiting our tickets, from the same provider… @TheGuv @Kanji @Superior Acuña … guess they’re trying to minimise opportunities for selling on by late dispatch, but wish they would just arrive already!
  9. I love Graeme too. No relation, though we are both from Gateshead.
  10. End of Feb update. Still bang on track for average points total for 4th place finish (represented by white bars, adjusted for when games happened this season).
  11. We’ll win a cup on Sunday. Of you may have to wait a bit longer. But we will win.
  12. Both sides of the stadium will be as deliciously anxious and excited as each other, no doubt. Really looking forward to it now!
  13. Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Skubala? (Not best pics to illustrate...)
  14. Pet peeve away, but no need to be so literal (or literary!). It obviously just means it would come across as implausible in a fictional plot line. And it was a very appropriate way of capturing lots of people’s feelings about yesterday (… and many things NUFC over the years).
  15. If Willock is out Maxi starts, right? Almiron, Longstaff, Bruno, Joelinton the others. Pretty happy with that middle three. Would like to see Bruno the, more often, more advanced role.
  16. Is there anything organised for Wembley or more just a bring your own?
  17. Lots of posts about the club not investing, really being interested in too 4 this season, looking to develop and sell on players, as part of the strategy. Other implied hidden motives. They have repeatedly said, one way and another, that they are building a squad and the club in the right way. They’ll buy what we need, if that person will come, but run it like a well functioning business. They won’t just splurge or chase an arbitrary objectives/a number. We’ll try and win every game, build an ethos and sense of collective endeavour, we’ll finish where we finish. If we finish in Champions League spot, then expenditure in the summer will be increased as will our ‘attractiveness’ as an option. I still think we’ll finish top 4, by the way. But let’s just enjoy the ride. If you having seen the Man City documentary ‘Drink it in’ it is worth a watch as a reminder of their transformation.
  18. It is. Just in about how the sound travels. Which reminds me, best recent (out of not many attended matches to be fair) experience of atmosphere in the Leazes was right behind the goal in the semi-final.
  19. Given what opposition players and managers periodically say about playing at SJP, I do wonder whether the acoustics work better if you are on the pitch/not sitting in a stand. Which would be fab if so; it’s the main point of the noise really. Have to say would be tickled ‘crimson’ to hear a bit of banter between stands again: “Sing in the Leazes!…”. Pick of the bunch would be, Platinum Club Ultras: “Sing in the cheap seats!”
  20. Sorry for tampering with your words, Mr P, but the juxtaposition of the first and last sentences gave me the first smile of the day.
