Converting all seasons to have the same number of games per month (based on 2024-25: Aug 2, S 4, O 3, N 4, Dec 6, J 4, F 4, M 2, A 5, M 4). The blue line is a prediction (based on difficulty of opposition) where we will pick up the 69 or so points likely to be required for a fourth place finish. The columns show where we have picked up points in previously three seasons. Note fantastic second half of seasons in 2020-21 and 2021-22, and poor second half last year.

Apparently we have been allocated their whole North stand and they’ve closed their South stand. Not expecting the other two to be full either.

Didn’t receive one. Annoying. Hope I am on ‘right’ lists (definitely paid for membership this season) and didn’t also scupper my unsuccessful Southampton ballot application.

I think Murray was the best kind of owner they could hope for (well, would have been better with deeper pockets) and I’m certain he did want those indicators/benefits of success. I do think though that he was sucked into the compare and despair low self-esteem of the area in an unhealthy way.

Well it maybe all journos’ hot air/speculation but wouldn’t be surprised if we, and others, employed this tactic.

I wonder whether we might leak/express interest in players sometimes, say Madueke, without real intent, to strategically nudge the decision making of the clubs of preferred targets who play in the same position? Say González? Saying that, in the example used they both fit the age profile and potential we tend to go for.
