Bit daft but everyone is allowed one rash-dash error…
  2. Just looked at Marseille’s form/other results. They took a 1-0 lead away to Real Madrid, but got beat 2-1 (2 pens). They had 15 shots and 5 on target in that game (18 and 7 at home against us). Sitting second in the league (2 points behind PSG). They’re a good side. And yes, we could (perhaps should) have managed a draw, or even nicked a win. Fact we didn’t isn’t that surprising. Fact that we could/should could be seen as positive.
  3. Two points behind PSG, +5 better goal difference. Super passionate home support, needed the win more than us. I am kind of warming to this particular (very narrow) away loss.
  4. Well you have a chance of winning that one. (Though so do we/NUFC).
  5. Personally, I thought we were decent. Quite frustrated and disappointed, as many are it seems, but nothing in that performance to justify an entitled, scapegoat-seeking, moan-fest. Can’t win ‘em all chaps.
  6. Always being in the game in a really entertaining game of football away from home against Marseille. 20 shots, 9 on target more touches in the box than them. Maybe for those reasons?
  7. Our midfield is good enough for any game against any team … well maybe not Barca (will take that).
  8. That Swedish fella we wanted as a striker isn’t exactly pulling up trees.
  9. Elanga, Gordon or Osula up top? (Sounds like we have loads of strikers 😂)
  10. Thought it separated Salford from Manchester? Well, at one stretch anyway.
  11. But, but, but is it his fusiform gyrus (get me…) or yours KId?
  12. Surprised Glaucoma Nik, Jelly Tennis Knickers, and Dumb Charlie managed such a big haul.
  13. Could break another transfer record. World’s most expensive crockery currently a Ming Dynasty cup $35m. (Sorry Callum…).
  14. No. Doubt he’d beat him in a scrap now 😉
  15. 😂 😂 😂 when my son saw us beat Man City at Etihad (aged 5) in the league cup, he burst into tears, kicked me, and won’t speak to me all the way home. Even he was more magnanimous than you. He watched with me on TV yesterday (aged 16) and actually wanted Newcastle to win (“You [NUFC] are just more fun to watch, Dad.” …knew I’d wear the bugger down!).
  16. Was exceptional yesterday. So controlled and dominant. Could Fab & Mal be our new first choice duo?
