Vindaloo or a phall?
-
Time will tell, the updating of their other companies is probably more so a legal requirement as opposed to being anything significant but then, if it was all dead in the water, why keep it as an active company at all.

It’s the internet, it’s not real life!

We know this but what difference would it make? The club wouldn’t spend 40 million on a dud just so they could get someone that may or may not have been excellent for 18m. ASM’s club we’re happy to accept that fee, if he was worth more at the time they would have looked for it surely? Has anyone ever checked out Hoffenheim’s accounts to see if that money actually went there?
-
See, that’s the part that confuses me most. Mike Ashley hates all that side of football, there’s no way he’d approve a deal that was about getting agents paid. Now if there was a middle man that had something to do with a property deal or something similar that was external to nufc, that would make more sense. It should be investigated. My initial take on it when the deal happened was that it was a punt on Joelinton actually being decent and being worth 100m or more within a season or two, but like everything with this club, it backfired spectacularly. You’d be lucky to get 10m for him now

Easy to mix up influential and a Walter Mitty type these days it seems.
-
Caulkin has Steve Bruce’s mobile and rings him for a chat from time to time, there’s no way he’ll ever write or speak the truth about him. If anyone doubts this, he talked about it in one of the podcasts back around the first lockdown while the takeover was still actually in play. A particularly dull conversation about fences is the type of crap they talk about. It’s the kind of relationship that would make Luke Edwards jealous and he’s avoided any and all ridicule over it.

In years past I’d be following all this nonsense all day and would be fairly annoyed by how it all turned out. This year I barely thought to check, I’m not annoyed, something has changed in me
-
I’d imagine there was never anyone but that Mexican coming in which was agreed weeks ago. Todays, will they/won’t they is purely a PR exercise to get sympathy for Steve Bruce so there won’t be as much booing next time. Dont fall for it.

He’s been in or around a very good Leicester team for the last 2/3 years. He’d easily be an upgrade on most of our midfield.
-
I remember a time when Lascelles was being linked with the higher up clubs, and there was a case being made for him to get a chance for England. In fact, there was even a debate amongst us at the time that he was a better player than Harry Maguire.. we played Leicester, Maguire scored and bossed the defence all game. Thats literally the point for me when his decline began. He knew he’d never get to the top level and began coasting it. Again, Sean Longstaff being tipped by everyone to hit the top and we played West Ham, Rice stole the show as far as those two were concerned, Longstaff went off injured. Never quite the same from that point. We have a core in the team of “almost but not quite” types in the side. They’ve settled for less for themselves and you can see that on the pitch.

Remember him laughing and joking with OGS after they beat us last season? I can’t really find the words to accurately describe how much I hate this cunt.

Commentator says “boos echoing around SJP, not necessarily for Steve Bruce, probably more for video technology” Has to be the most mental thing I’ve heard in ages
-
That’ll be awarded for sure
-
He’s spot on in fairness. The decision to fucking hire him
-
You’d have to think a 2 or 3 goal defeat today will leave him under a massive amount of pressure.
-
And again, it’s fine when it’s West Ham or Man Utd but I agree, they would probably punish us, or at least try to. This is what we’re up against.
-
When they play us at SJP I’d love to see the crowd singing his song non stop throughout the match. Just imagine the imbeciles scrunchy salty face..
-
The only thing that will make any sort of difference is a mass revolt, either storm the pitch at SJP and disrupt a premier league game (or games..), or have it postponed, or storm their offices. As neither is likely to happen I think it’s safe to say they don’t fear any retribution for whatever part they have in fucking this club/city over.

Not sure why anyone thinks the government are going to intervene somehow. The tories look on the North-East with nothing but fucking derision, this has historically been the case since always. If anything these cosy meetings with Saudi have been about trying to persuade them to invest elsewhere in the country, I’m not necessarily talking about buying a football club, more so investment into financial institutions and property (in the city..), or weapons tech. The government couldn’t care less about investment in this region. You’re kidding yourself if you think they have our backs here.

When you’ve already won a World Cup at 17/18 years of age, the normal things footballers have to worry about don’t really apply. PSG have all the money and will make a strong attempt at the CL this season but they are not and will never be one of the biggest clubs in the world. Qatar will realise this sooner or later too and look to start a new project imho.. Mbappe wants to go and break records at a club that will always be considered one of the biggest in the world. He’s made no secret of it either.
-
PSG apparently accepted a bid of 170m for MBappe from Real, they must be trying for Ronaldo as well?
-
An interest free loan? ?

It’s much better when she’s quiet when it comes to this deal to be fair. I could listen to her all day about her plans for the club however
