Man United’s cast off defenders have mostly tended to be actually quite decent when they go to other teams. Evans is the obvious example but there’s also Michael Keane, Smalling is doing ok in Italy, Blind has done well at Ajax. There’s probably loads am leaving out.

If that was the case (I’m highly dubious) how long would it take to restructure a deal and make a submission to the league?
-
If we had a midfield we’d be a half decent team. We don’t and that was abundantly clear when we played them, theirs just took the game and ran with it, we had no response. They don’t need 8 players who would walk into our team, just 2 that trampled all over us.

There’s literally nothing but misery when it comes to this club, hand on heart, do any of you think we’re going to win the lottery and get this takeover? At this point in time it’s a stretch you’d have to say. We don’t get nice things. There’s no fairytale, well not when it comes to this club, especially with the owner, who’s been given quite an easy pass considering the absolute shite this team have served up due to his decision making. (Manager, transfer policy etc) Honestly think it’s best now if we draw a line under the debacle and channel the anger back on the owner. We laughed at West Ham when the fans stormed the pitch a few years back.. how can you not argue that it was effective? They are light years ahead of us now

Running the show against Man City a few years ago would suggest otherwise. The potential is all there to see, it’s a case of realising it. Rafa is gone over 2 years now and he’s done fuck all since then, we can blame Bruce but the kid has to take responsibility for his own career too, same as his brother.

It’s a mentality thing. He has the ability and size to make an impact like Rice has, if he was inclined to, but he doesn’t have any fire in the belly, him or his brother. They just seem to be going through the motions and happy to be in or around the 25 man squad each week whether they play or not.

Thought ASM had a really poor game aside from the first cross. Lost the ball repeatedly, one of which directly led to a goal. Clark ball watching for 2-2, again individual mistakes leading to goals. We said last season that Shelvey needed to be replaced, it’s still the case and it’s killing us. When you see a player like Rice take the game by the balls, you see what we are missing out on by having a passenger in the starting 11. Miggy has also had better games, fuck all of a pre season with us though so not too fair to judge on that one. And yeah Ritchie was poor but that’s the first game in a long time where can say that. We start that back line often and we will concede loads this season. Grim.

Schär wouldn’t have been able to cope with this, he’d have kicked Soucek in the bollocks 5 mins into the second half. Keeping a level head is not a strong suit of his.
-
Longstaff and Joelinton with 7 minutes to go. Genius.
-
Christ, falling apart. Pretty easy teamtalk to give if you’re an opposing manager, just keep at it and we’ll eventually crumble. We could have been 3-1 up at halftime and it still wouldn’t have mattered, there’s no grit in our squad, weak leadership.
-
It’s a loaded question. There’s no way you can answer that without sounding like you’ve got notions.
-
They’ve had a pretty good pre season, scoring plenty of goals. I think they’ll have the edge, although our team at full strength and playing well you just never know.
-
Such a strange decision not to have him signed in time for the first game, I can understand not throwing him into the starting 11 if they’d been preparing to play a certain system all week but surely to have someone like that come off the bench would have been handy.

PSG were close last season, ultimately what let them down was indiscipline, despite City going behind they put it up to them and they didn’t like it one bit. Couldn’t cope with adversity, when all was needed was cool heads to keep hold of their lead. Midfield wasn’t their problem, nor was up front, it was at the back. Ramos is not the answer to that particular problem. Messi will bring a calmness up front but it’s still only papering over cracks that haven’t been fixed, imho..

The club are going to milk this transfer story for all it’s worth, it’ll take a few days to sort it all out. Personal terms are usually always sounded out with an agent before a formal offer is made.
-
Is it student accommodation or office space that’s going in? Either way they probably were hoping for an increase in foot fall which is why they supported it. It’s never come across like a bar that’s done exceptionally well, financially I mean.

I dunno, the thing is we have good wide players, when he came here he told ASM, “cut it back to the D and I’ll be there” and that’s exactly what happened. None of our other midfield players want to do that. We have pace, we have a decent striker, but if nobody else is making runs, defenders can cope with Wilson, if Willock is also on the premises, it opens up space. It’s very hard to score goals against a well drilled defence, aside from ASM we have no other players who can force the issue like that so we rely on pulling players out of position.
-
Can’t underestimate what an important signing it would be. The difference between having a comfortable, enjoyable season or not as they say.
-
Some climb down isn’t it. He was full of hot air for the best part of a year, stringing goons along like the pied piper. His initial gesture was with the right intentions but the endless Twitter nonsense followed by podcasts were only ever self serving his ego. If this takeover has done anything, it’s weeded out every single one of these bellends.
-
There’s also supposed evidence that Mossad knew about it in advance too. Nothing was done about it then, nothing will happen now. Too much time has passed, IF anything dodgy happened that day, the details have mostly been scrubbed by now.

“approached by new interested buyers” I think we’re seeing someone who’s mind has snapped at this point. He’s living in his own imagination.
