  1. Hayden comes off and we fall apart. A whole new back line and midfield is needed in January or we’re fucked.
  2. Timing would be better after the match if or when we lose.
  3. The way Longstaff just gave up running to a saunter after Rudiger passed him has pissed me off royally. It’s one thing being slower than another player, to just give up entirely and absolve yourself of any responsibility is unforgivable. The sooner he’s shipped out the better. Lots to consider for second half, some stupid yellow cards. We miss Joelinton. Never thought I’d say that but it’s true. Hayden should be brought off as he’s walking a tightrope, you literally could not trust Shelvey or Longstaff to get through a fraction of the work he does though.
  4. Chelsea seem to think direct balls into the middle of our box will reap rewards.
  5. I’m surprised Shelvey went back into the squad after that shocking cameo against Spurs, honestly thought he was going to be blacklisted and sent to the reserves until January.
  6. So we can safely say the love in for Graeme Jones is over. It just goes to show how bad Steve Bruce was before he came in that we thought he was some messiah. I think he can quite easily do a good job with the reserves side, but that would be up to him if he’d take the step down.
  7. “Mike Ashley owns the club, he can do what he wants with it” that was a line constantly fed to us by anyone and everyone. Now it’s, “Saudi own the club and they’re not allowed do anything” Such hypocritical arseholes.

Oral health and general health are very much linked. Wrong thread, but gum disease in more serious cases of covid is a thing too.
  9. Rafa will never go to Everton and say he wants to break contract. Now if, we approach Everton and they accept an offer, that’s different. That absolves him. The fans may not be happy with him but am fairly sure the board are pleased enough though. Comfortably in the top half of table, close to top 4 and with loads of injuries. They can only improve. Why would they accept an offer for him when there’s literally nobody better at that job with the constraints they have now.

I remember at the time when he was at his peak for us, kept getting shin splint injuries. When they started using computers to track his jogging, running motion, it was all wrong. He spent the best part of a season being taught how to run properly/develop muscles. I believe Steven Gerrard had similar problems with his posture as well in his early days which kept leading to injuries.
  11. They should just go ahead with whatever they want to do and then leave it up to arbitration (confidential) to sort the mess out. Once our lawyers get involved all those cunts will back off.
  12. I was reading that Barca can’t afford to pay any new manager more than what Koeman was on (around 3.75m a year), they literally don’t have the money. So any of the names us or Man Utd are being linked with are a no go for them unless they want to take a pay cut to go there during what will ultimately be a shit run. If Spain do pfm types, that’s what they’ll be in for.
  13. Tron is a good poster, he made a tit of himself at the weekend though. Thankfully cancel culture is not a thing on here, everyone deserves at least one fuck up?
  14. I think it’s safe to say whoever comes in will be backed and given the time to actually build something special. The difference between Ajax and where we aspire to be, is that we won’t want to sell off the nurtured talent as soon as they come to the fore. That in itself would be a huge draw for someone like ETH, being able to develop the team and then be able to keep playing them to see how far they can go (while also having the financial muscle to buy the right cogs when needed)
  15. “Ah Newcastle, so about Rafa, it turns out you are desperate to buy and we are desperate to sell” “Advantage Staveley”
  16. We never saw Rafa’s style, he just used all of his experience to turn an absolute turd into one of the best drilled units in the Premier League. If he’d have been allowed to build on that I have absolutely no doubt we’d be a top 8 club right now. Then the money comes, he could literally swap out players as instant upgrades without having to guess at what was going to work.
  17. Rogers would probably be the most reliable appointment next to Rafa. But both are not going to break a contract. I voted Fonseca but I also have concerns there if it didn’t work out that it would backfire spectacularly. Some of the others carry less risk. As for Conte, there’s a reason Man Utd are in for him. He’s a great coach and a strong figurehead, players respect him and generally anyone who’s gone up against him has come out second best in terms of challenging his authority. If we have the ability to pay 6 million a year for Fonseca, we should be all over Conte
  18. For us he’s a known quantity and never let us down. He made a mistake going there but it’s also easy to say that with the hindsight of the last few weeks. The fact is he wanted to work and that was the only gig in town. I suspect our new owners want a structure that he maybe wouldn’t be totally happy with anyway as he’s a control freak. He certainly wouldn’t work under anyone.
  19. It’s not Ole’s fault, and it wasn’t Mourinho’s fault either. That team has a core of bad eggs, they’ll play nice for a while and make the effort but when it’s time to work hard to turn things around, they go missing and then ultimately try and get their manager sacked. A bit like ours, that club needs to be fumigated to clear out all the cockroaches. I wouldn’t have Pogba (in particular) anywhere near our club. Until that happens (a massive clear out) it won’t matter who takes over as manager. The same thing will keep happening.
  20. I think whoever the top choice is, as in the best we can possibly get. We need to make that move now as there’s gonna be some competition imminently
  21. I agree, honestly I thought after Sunderland his career was finished. He looked a shell of a man. It’s a remarkable turnaround. There’s nothing I particularly dislike about him but still wouldn’t like him here (despite him being light years ahead of Steve Bruce as a manager)
  22. So what’s going on, is Moyes actually a good manager now? West Ham look like a team that could break the top 4
  23. West Ham look so solid right now. How much is Declan Rice worth these days?
  24. I regret listening to that. I’d say mingling with those lot, you’d have to lower the intelligence levels of everything you say, anything actually witty or on point would be met with silence or ridicule. Eventually after spending enough time with them, your brain cells begin to die off and then one day you’re suddenly laughing at your own farts in the bathtub.
