  1. Can’t help but think this is the truth of it. Masters and Hoffman will still be in pockets of big 6 and they’ll hope to ride it out. What better way than to turn attention on the Saudi’s. I think as a poster indicated on here last night, Martin Samuels article was Ashley PR. Expect it to ramp up to influence arbitration.
  2. Negative stories about the Saudi's in the press before arbitration, you better believe it. The fact that a local supposedly NUFC journalist is adding flames to the fire beggars belief.
  3. Yeah he’s attached his name to article. Think we can safely say he was talking shite and being dramatic again.
  4. I mean this seems completely left field from Slater. Saudi backing of the club World Cup killed the deal now ?
  5. This is all they will do, there is no way clubs valued in the billons will transfer to majority fan ownership. The tories welcome foreign investment and that’s not changing. Would Leicester for example want rid of their owners, course they wouldn’t. This is about bad owners not foreign ownership.
  6. I must have missed this bad news today some folk on here are referring to. Some people never learn when it comes to Edwards. Still confident and all to play for !
  7. I’m not sure about that Masters has proved so spineless he’ll welcome them back without a bad word. I haven’t kept up today but was there not talk Scudamore was going to attend today’s meeting ? The same Scudamore that is part of Redball and that has just invested in Fenway Sports. Call me cynical but I wouldn’t trust Masters and co in dealings with the top 6 ever again. https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/richard-scudamore-redball-acquisition-corp-premier-league-club
  8. Yeah lot of noise but the one thing we know is arbitration will happen. I’m confident we win it also. PIF aren’t buying Inter for me and I think all this Super League nonsense will collapse (Chelsea already gone the rest will follow). Interesting conversation on separation here aswell Jinky.
  9. The government are only just putting a team together now to look at a fan led review. Our sole focus should be on arbitration which will be completed before any government legislation. That’s the best I can muster at the minute Jinky ?. Keep the faith still confident this will go through.
  10. Even I tend to stay away from Lee Ryder articles, but struggling tonight Jinky so here’s one to keep us going from earlier. Hopeful of summer conclusion to arbitration. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastles-would-owners-focus-deal-20412190
  11. From the Chronicle, maybe i have got it wrong with Carla and she was referring to the calm before a big night out with Mike watching the match. ‘The Newcastle United owner watched on from the Middle East as the Magpies earned a 3-2 win over West Ham with the Sports Direct Magnate delighted to see Steve Bruce turn things around in the last three games’.
  12. Good film still 100% want takeover. I’ll be expecting the usual suspects to bring the same level of objections if this comes off. If it’s about sport washing then this is no different. Why should we be penalised whilst they are allowed to get involved in other sports. All this rubbish about actually owning a club being different is bollocks. I’ll be over the fucking moon when it’s announced and won’t feel any guilt at all.
  13. Or they can say to Bein look we tried but it wasn’t our decision.
  14. Is the G8 summit not due to be held down that way shortly ? It was mentioned on Wraiths podcast last night, but dismissed as being linked to this. Interesting about Ashley’s helicopter though that wasn’t mentioned.
  15. Seems to have gone quiet on Bein front lately, can’t help but feel the Saudi’s are holding off reinstating pending takeover outcome.
  16. Chronicle. ‘The high profile reports have cranked up pressure on the Premier League ahead of their arbitration battle with Mike Ashley. Ashley is understood to be pleased to see the subject gain national attention after it was reported that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman spoke to Mr Johnson and asked him to correct what he saw as a mistake by the top-flight’.
  17. What would be interesting is where the FOI request in relation to Boris and MBS came from. It must have been submitted well before all this Cameron stuff came out. On a side note though, Ashley is apparently happy it’s back in the spotlight.
  18. Yeah, after political pressure didn’t get the desired outcome Ashley went down the legal route In September.
