  1. I’m sure many of us recall spending time in a couple of the shit holes mentioned in this article. Used to always get a bit of a buzz starting off the pre match circuit in the Adelphi in my younger days, even though the beer was absolutely shit. Great memories particularly on derby days when the place used to be rammed from opening time. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/notorious-pubs-clubs-newcastle-city-15182609
  2. Never fails to bring me an enormous sense of well being every time these scruffy cunts get beat. Long may they remain in the 3rd tier of English football. I’m sure Louis Theroux the 3rd or whatever the man child calls himself is already regretting buying these twats.
  3. Think you’ve covered all bases there fair play. I’m open minded on this and hopefully it’s a win win like you say.
  4. It’d come down to profit margins as a previous poster said above. If PIF buy the club and make it worth 2 billion in 10 years, that 1% stake represents a hefty sum. If the club is worth 2 billion in 10 years I’d hazard a guess we’ve become massively successful and to be honest at that point I doubt the majority would give a jot about there motives. I see you’re point about a doomsday scenario and slipping down the leagues, but beyond that this will be a nice contribution to charity, or a long term safeguard in the event of dropping like a stone.
  5. I don’t envisage that scenario Candi . However, I don’t believe the new owners intentions should be judged by their willingness to give the trust a 1% stake. If Staveley says it’s not feasible then so be it for me. After 14 years of Ashley I don’t think the rank and file will give a jot about this in the midst of the ensuing euphoria.
  6. If PCP assume control in the summer and in a business sense it’s not practical to allow the trust 1% I would hope this doesn’t become an issue. I’m sure Staveley and co will want to get fans on board regardless. The people at the trust seem sensible enough folk and it may just not be worth while for the 2 minority stakes to go below 10%. After waiting years to get rid of Ashley I would hate to see an unsightly stand off over a 1% stake. I’m very open minded about this but for me personally new ownership is all that matters in short term.
  7. Let’s face it if we go down this season it will be the most avoidable and disastrous relegation ever. Whilst ultimately Ashley is to blame for everything, let’s be in no doubt with the players at his disposal Bruce will go down as the biggest disaster in this club’s history. I still fear the useless arrogant cunt will keep us mired in this to the last game. Tomorrow is vital and without Lascelles and Hayden I worry our spine is being ripped out for the battle ahead. If the cunt makes that cretin Shelvey captain I really fear the worst for us.
  8. All in jest GDM no offence intended. Sure you’ll get it through it next week whatever the issue is ?
  9. Corruption can be very subtle and influence things in different ways. The fact we vote against everything has made us enemy number 1. Do I actually believe Masters was on the phone to the ref...don’t be so fucking stupid. I’ll take being called a moron from a whopper like you as a compliment. Is the takeover on or off in your mind this week ?
  10. Do I believe the PL is corrupt as hell absolutely. And absolutely you’re a clown ?
  11. If VAR had been applied correctly that goal would have stood. You’re a clown GDM
  12. This is what happens when you piss the powers at be off. I have no doubt Fulham staying up is the desired outcome at PL HQ. They want us gone have no doubt about that.
  13. Hoffman and Masters in charge of VAR tonight.
  14. This being a goer will depend on the funds being raised very quickly if deal goes through in next couple of months. Unless there are some very generous donations not sure how realistic that is. Also bear in mind the current value of the club is likely to increase dramatically once PIF get their feet under table and 3 million is unlikely to get you 1 per cent. This is very reliant on the good will of buyers to guarantee a purchase of 1% at an agreed price. The way i see this playing out is the consortium offer NUST a seat on board without purchasing a stake, and they match the donation to local charities. That way everyone’s a winner and it’s good PR for new owners.
  15. Us beating Burnley also has the knock on effect of keeping them honest when they travel to Fulham. I’m struggling to see us beating them, but dragging them back into the mix would be massive.
  16. This would be my team but would be harsh on Joelinton after weekend. Think this will be a physical battle and we’ll need to defend well, which makes me unsure about wing backs. Would be half tempted to play Clark and bring Manquillo and Dummett in at wing back. But I’ll stick with this, Burnley don’t score loads and if we can get a couple we should at least get a point. Dubravka Fernandez-Lascelles-Dummett Murphy Ritchie Willock-Longstaff St Maximin-Wilson-Almiron
  17. Remember Franz Carr being very rapid but also unfortunately shit.
  18. I choose to believe he isn’t just referring to the late equaliser today.
  19. Arbitration is about trying to find a resolution, a deal could be struck before or during hearing. I don’t think anyone is non the wiser whether the hearing has begun or not. I get the impression though that people around the deal are confident of our legal argument.
  20. Sounds like BZG and the Bellagraph Nova Group. Think there’s more than Chinese Tony out there to be honest. But you seem to have finally found some decent owner’s eventually.
