  1. From what I’ve read over last couple of days PIF Aquisition U.K. seems the most likely. They’ve now got a London based operation and is this the company they will be using to make investments ? The real question is though what difference does ‘corporate soul’ make. Does it give the U.K. arm more separation and autonomy from the state ? Could this be used as a vehicle to rejig the deal and pass ODT ? They don’t seem to have a problem with buying stakes in other companies so why the need to make this company a corporate soul ? More questions than answers yet again unfortunately. The PL ODT is so vague in relation to a person with control they can basically do as they please it’s fucking ridiculous.
  2. It does seem to have been created at around the time they invested into McLaren so more likely to be related to that.
  3. PIF have always wanted to come in through the front door. Wishful thinking but maybe they have accepted that’s not possible and gone down the City route.
  4. This would be interesting and change things if true and related to us of course.
  5. John Textor has just paid 87.5 million for an 18% stake in Palace. Sure there is a London premium but this doesn’t make Ashley’s valuation of 340 look unreasonable in my opinion. The trouble is he is clearly a hard man to do business with and ultimately when was the last time a 300 million plus deal was done for a PL club. Staveley is absolutely right there is not many people out there with the finance to buy a PL club and then invest to grow it.
  6. Reubens we’re definitely an investor the 1st time round. Staveley was actually seen at Old Trafford around the time MBS was reportedly interested in the Mancs. There were rumours she’d been unsuccessful in securing funding from Saudi, the fact she got them on board to buy us in the end is testament to her determination and reputation in Middle East.
  7. Staveley’s first attempt was similar to the redball article I’ve just put up. She had Chinese investment as well as the Reubens and a Middle East sovereign fund. No one can criticise the level of investment she has secured the 2nd time round. Quite literally a staggering consortium which has made other clubs arses drop.
  8. I would not be surprised if rumours of this lot sniffing around are true. I guess the rank and file at this point would be happy with any takeover, as far as US investors are concerned they certainly seem the biggest on the look out for a club at minute. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/redball-liverpool-fsg-premier-league-19833062
  9. For those of us still in the positive camp, every crumb n all that.
  10. It’s an opinion you take it or leave it. In your case I’d be worried if you agreed Fanny.
  11. I give most people the benefit of doubt on here that they are having a bit of a giggle with this Keith thing. However, if you actually think I’m Keith I really can’t take you seriously pal.
  12. They are absolutely blocking this takeover on behalf of not only big 6, but probably other clubs to. Piracy is just the convenient excuse they’ve used. Still naive and absolutely nothing mackemesque about me Fanny lad.
  13. Though the PL are the regulator in this case surely the fact they aren’t an independent one, the PL arbitration will not be allowed to take precedence over a U.K. court. In a scenario where Ashley sold the club to US investors for 300 million, he would not have the ability to continue arbitration as new owners wouldn’t continue with it. However, St James holdings would still be 40 million out of pocket. Hopefully the fact it’s the holding company taking the action, it can correctly be argued they’re not bound by PL rule book. Fully believe that PCP would be well aware if another ODT was going through currently with another bidder. Staveley would let us all know and she’d say it’s off. I want these actions to run, we need to find out why we’re being denied this investment and a PL approved US leveraged buyout should not pacify anyone at this point. You can bet your bottom dollar if Jeff Bezos was the US bidder, that US investment would again be contested under some spurious reason that it’s anti competitive due to Amazon. The PL will allow us a takeover on the corrupt 6 terms, they won’t allow us a takeover that threatens them. In no way should any of us accept this, PBP may have been officially scrapped but it’s alive and well in terms of ownership veto from the 6 clubs.
  14. The real fear has to be that the PL are allowed to appeal the CAT ruling. If the PL do appeal on the basis that the club are bound to PL arbitration as agreed by all PL clubs in rule book, this would be an obvious tactic then by all accounts it could be a year to hear appeal. We have to hope that the club have anticipated this by using St James Holdings instead.
  15. got to try and keep those spirit levels high Robster, someday soon I’m still convinced.
  16. Wouldn’t stoke my fire and with Scudamore involved I’d think this whole thing is more corrupt than ever. To be honest I thought Redball had bought a stake in Fenway but apparently not. If Ashley is negotiating with PL at present it’s either to push PIF through or there is a new bidder.
  17. Nee idea what all the fuss is about, it’s still on until Mandy says otherwise. Chill out and and take a trip down memory lane. We’ve got Terry Terry Terry Hibbitt on the wing.....
  18. Well this is the same character who used to whinge every time a thread was closed due to an argument. Fucking laughable.
  19. Do you mean me you stupid cunt ? If so I’m still here.
  20. Spot on you can bet your bottom dollar that he’ll be a different player at Everton under Rafa. No doubt the injury played a part but we’ll regret this one big time. It’s easy to blame his attitude but anyone working under a shit boss who clearly doesn’t rate you would suffer. Undoubtedly a player in there and if Choudhury on loan is his replacement, then it’s just more evidence of the shit show this club is under Ashley and Bruce. After losing Bobby Clark and potentially losing another local lad who was being lauded 2 years ago, to be replaced by what a Leicester reserve. This is the same Steve Bruce who wanted to swap Grealish for Jordan Rhodes, how anyone could judge Longstaff under this set up beggars.
  21. A Palmer medley before every home game should be brought back. Though I’m not sure how ‘slap your lass with the Christmas tree’ would go down in these PC times.
