Daily Record reckons where signing Oliver Goodbrand 16 year old from Rangers. According to Naples press where battling with Napoli to sign 19 year old Colombian Jordan Barrera.

Sure he broke the Barella story as well, club seem to use Edwards as a decoy and he laps it up.

Not a fan of the lower tier in that new North Stand looks shite.

Cunha is a top player would really give us another weapon up front, unfortunately we won’t be able to compete with the Mancs on wages.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
Whitley mag replied to Rich's topic in Football
Pretty much agree with this the only worry is holding on to top players like Isak and Tonali, if where not in the CL it could enable teams to turn their heads, though I’m confident PIF will dig heels in due to length still on contracts. -
Be interesting to see what the transfer window looks like with and without CL qualification, Villa have banked 45 million from their run to the QF which is a tidy sum towards their budget.
-
Think Cunha would be an exciting signing that would give us something different, very versatile hybrid forward who would give us more options tactically.
-
Think Mbuemo looks a far more accomplished finisher than Gordon and seems to find himself in central areas like his first goal on Saturday regularly.
-
Can see Mbuemo being the number one target can play across the front 3 and guarantee’s goals, can’t see the funds stretching to a winger and forward even with CL football. If we got Mbuemo, Trafford and Huijsen it would strengthen 3 key positions and would be hard to argue that it wasn’t a good summer. I can see Longstaff and Wilson leaving to free up wages and possibly Pope, if Trafford arrives. Would like another dynamic attacking midfielder in an ideal world, especially if we secure CL football, as the system we play requires more than Willock and Miley in reserve with the potential extra games.
-
Yeah qualify for Champions League and fancy us to be in the stronger position next season.

Great boozer where i’d be heading if I was going today. -
Certainly nothing wrong with our scouting, that Andrey Santos is now one of the best midfielders in France after his unsuccessful loan at Forrest. Thinks it’s just been our finances and timing that has prevented us from having more young talent on the books.
-
The best limbs ever seen at SJP and I’d argue anywhere in this country, only Kelly v Portsmouth comes close.
-
Isak had been linked for ages but the press briefings were we couldn’t afford him.

North Shields bedrock of NUFC support and the fucking hardest just ask the casualties.

Instant classic that shirt. -
Ryder’s best ignored clearly struggling for his quota of articles.

I don’t worry about stuff like this just curious about how they’ll attempt to twist it going forward.

I’m assuming once you’ve sold the women’s team you can no longer offset any costs for PSR purposes, or will Chelsea also have a way around that ? Just seems farcical at this point fair play to them.
-
If it was a choice between Mbeumo and Semenyo it would be the former, I’d also go for the lad from Monaco though, or someone they’ve been scouting off the radar. Think there’s a few candidates in Spain, France and Italy tenuously linked who could come in to play for the RW spot, if we need a striker also value for money will be important. Suspect the big money will go on a proven right sided CB.
-
I don’t think he’s what we need especially at the money being quoted, good player undoubtedly but definitely suited to a team who plays on the break.
-
I think Ekitike is a bit more versatile but wouldn’t be opposed to Delap for something different, particularly in games where we need a bit of muscle. On a side note would love to see us go for Rodrigo Mora from Porto as the creative signing, can play out wide and looks a huge talent at 17.
-
Not that it should be a primary concern to us as fans but isn’t there a minimum UEFA requirement for a 70k capacity to hold a CL final etc. I’d imagine PIF would be quite keen for their shiny new stadium to be able to host the biggest fixtures to showcase it.
