This will be even better than Trafalgar Square should be great scenes again on the Saturday night.
-
Probably will end up forking out daft money at some point on the off chance we finally do it, would kick myself for ever if we beat the scousers in the final and I wasn’t there.
-
Proving trickier to source a ticket on the secondary market this time around, still holding my nerve until nearer the time as think prices will drop slightly at some point, in saying that seems to be a lot less tickets our side in club Wembley etc.
-
Nobody knows until this summer and we see what their approach is, will we chase the likes of Mbuemo and Huijsen ? or show some imagination when it comes to the crunch.
-
Good to see the club feeding City with evidence whilst sitting in the background, probably lends weight to why we haven’t pushed through any other sponsorships until this is resolved.
-
Think Harrow on the Hill is a decent stop off en route coming in that way on tube if you don’t want to drink around Wembley.

Now he’s got that bit of PL experience we’ll pay over the odds for him ? We could have had him for 12 million, or paid a bit more to remove Juve’s 10% clause, unfortunately they chose to pursue Guehi for stupid money as he was deemed a sure thing. Got no problem paying for sure things when our income allows this, however we’ve now gone 3 windows without a purchase due to this failed approach, if Eddie is keen on him, Mitchell should be politely directing him to the next Huijsen and earning his salary.

As much as Fefee Le Foo is clearly talented, there’s a reason he ended up moving from Roma to that shit hole, looks very lightweight for central midfield and clearly not a modern day wide forward.
-
Without doubt they had to move and in time the stadium will help regenerate the area around it. From an away fan perspective I always find getting to Anfield and Goodison a complete chew on from City Centre, on a nice day you could do a few city centre bars now and walk to their new ground.
-
To be honest something a bit out the norm would be good for a change.
-
Feels like we missed the boat last summer and stuck paying that PL premium again.
-
Blue kit with trefoil and home kit with tartan pattern ?
-
There we have it still pedalling discounted tickets through schools despite going for promotion. ‘Got mine for a tenner through the bairns school.* *Not taking the bairn like, she still wouldn't sit for that long’

Another good local one and not the generic shite like Bruno in the middle.

I do like the roof design it looks quite impressive lit up blue at night and you can see the steel through the glass. It does look bland inside but think it’ll have a decent atmosphere, they’ve got the important aspects like close to pitch, steep stands and a big home end. On our stadium i’d love to see a window so you can view the City from inside the stadium, much like some of these newer US NFL stadiums, but think I’d be quite happy if we ended up with a 70k stadium with an intimate feel like that, where everyone seems on top of the action.
-
Aye nice from a drone on the waterfront, but freezing 90% of year and edited post above on boozer situation.
-
I think the stands look steep and close to the pitch, compared to our 52k seats everyone will have a good view and be close to the action. It’s got a unique location and think the overall design is decent, but lacking a wow factor that I’m hoping we get. Around the stadium is the pits though with only 2 grubby bars in the vicinity and it’s a good 40 min walk from City Centre.

Quell surprise Miguel Delaney cheerleading anonymous PL executive saying competition law should be drafted separately for football.

Been posted on here before, but Burnley in semi and when Hughes goes up to lift Cup for Liverpool are what this clubs support should be all about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGEIocazs4A

The slow version and constant faster Howay The Lads are very effective and not sang near enough. I always think there’s no better defiant song then ‘We’ll support you ever more, we’ll support you evermore, Newcastle, Newcastle’. Instead of waving the flags at Wembley like mutes against Man U in the closing stages like a non league set of fans would do, the above song reverberating around Wembley would get the hairs standing up and I’d have actually left Wembley proud. We were never a fan base who just sang when we are winning, get behind the lads win, or lose especially on the national stage at Wembley.

Quite laughable how cartel journalists like Sam Wallace from the Telegraph are so anti City, claiming there needs to be financial controls for the competitiveness of the league. The anti competitive measure currently in place is PSR and stopping the very nature of the competitiveness he apparently wants to protect. I have no problem with an equal playing field US sports ensure this and if they wanted to introduce a spend limit for all clubs then so be it, that would be competitive and ensure an equal playing field for those that truly want to compete. But they don’t want an equal playing field and the charade of sustainability is a convenient cover. Furthermore UEFA are also at it with payments to so called legacy clubs, how come we get less for reaching the same stage of the competition as Man United, the elite clubs are guilty of protectionism and anti competitive collusion, hopefully City blow it all apart for what it really is.
-
We could have had Huijsen in the summer for 12 million mind, don’t think PSR is to blame for everything, recruitment needs refined and hopefully that’s what’s now happening.
-
Best away support I’ve ever been part of was Derby away at Easter under Keegan when it looked like we were heading for relegation, relentless support that day which made the hairs stand up.
-
Just watching the highlights of the game and it’s quite clear yet again it’s the space between our defence and midfield that is the problem. If our press is working well and the opposition is struggling we can get away with it, once a team breaks our press the gaps are huge. Despite having 2 great technicians in midfield we still can’t dominate possession in many games. In his time Howe has remained fixated on the 3 man midfield, surely there comes a point in the last couple of season he considers a double pivot like many of the top teams play. I think Bruno and Tonali would work as a double pivot and I’m still yet to be convinced about Bruno as an 8, he just doesn’t have the physical attributes required for this role in my opinion and is often left chasing shadows.
-
The away end at the Etihad has never been a great one for atmosphere, but our support is grim at times these days, fully expecting the Bruno in the middle chant to become the default of the masses at Wembley which will be horrific.
