  1. Sadiki, Le Fee and a couple of their other centre backs would also get games for us. Not that much between the teams, which highlights how bad our recruitment was in the summer.
  2. He’ll just be ignored Howe and his nephew call the shots.
  3. I’d hazard a guess his role has been diminished now and he’ll be off by the summer.
  4. 6k plus Saturday teatime away in the FA Cup 4th round. How times have changed, would have been queuing around SJP and Cup fever would have kicked in years ago. Times have changed with attitudes and just general excitement. Sad times the fanbase is fucked.
  5. Looks a goer fair play to Bournemouth. No chance we’d be this adventurous in the market under Howe unfortunately.
  6. Will end up at Villa according to Bailey on Loaded Mag last night.
  7. Brighton in the FA cup last season was equally as depressing and poor. Can’t even make the excuse it’s a £20 Cup crowd because season ticket holders will have made up the majority of it.
  8. Couldn’t get a ticket tonight but watching on the tv you’d struggle to find a more lifeless crowd anywhere. The place just looks soulless and completely devoid of any atmosphere. If that was Anfield or Old Trafford tonight you’d have most the ground standing and it would have a big match feel. Sad to say our support is fucking embarrassing these days.
  9. Sure the Halls have done very well out of NUFC again, considering they siphoned off Woolsington when they sold the club.
  10. Spades in the ground and a lasting legacy. Great news for the club and city.
  11. It doesn’t mean that they’re not either, the cost of them expanding would be peanuts compared to us.
  12. They’ve been talks with council re development at Sheepfolds to ensure it doesn’t stop them expanding the South Stand. Its certainly not inconceivable they announce a redevelopment before us, it’s certainly debatable whether they need one but that’s the craic.
  13. The numbers don’t add up to expand St James’ to 60k due to the complications of building at the Gallowgate End. It’s inconceivable with other clubs expanding capacity that we remain at SJP with a 52k capacity. Ive got no doubt we’ll even see the mackems put in an application to extend the SOS shortly to about 55k. Stay at SJP in its current guise and we get left behind completely, which would make a mockery of their stated ambition.
  14. Maybe we should have pushed the boat out in the summer. For the sake of 10-15 million it looks like false economy now.
  15. Happiest memories of following the lads are all based around KK. Long live the King.
  16. Even if I’d paid £75 and couldn’t see fuck all, they’d still remain submerged
  17. Ticketing is all over the shop and an absolute shambles. The amount of tickets that can’t be purchased due to a ridiculously over sized family enclosure, huge inflated prices that have gone under the radar, large swathes of hospitality seats that they struggle to shift due to overpricing and help kill the atmosphere due to being located in prime sections. If you add in the ID checks without notice for away fans, it’s fair to say that Peter Silverstone is a cunt and good riddance.
  18. Undoubtedly all factors at play and a new stadium will prove a huge draw when it opens. I’m just not convinced by 70k though, all for a new stadium but I’d rather see it full all the time, or it will be pretty soulless on a cold night in January. 62 to 65k is sweet spot with correct pricing and keeps that intimate feel if done correctly.
  19. All over seats in Gallowgate and Leazes as well. All returns but at unprecedented levels since takeover and would previously have disappeared straight away.
  20. Plenty of GA tickets for Leeds are you signed in?
  21. There’s a stack of tickets available for Leeds at £55 and has been for a few days, they might be re-sales but previously they would have been snapped up straight away. If we become permanently successful all the points you list above will remain. I just can’t see demand for 70k bar a handful of games, unless we see a reduction in general admission prices, which as you said the other day isn’t on the cards.
  22. Unless they are going to reduce prices an increased stadium at 70k would be a white elephant. Struggling to shift 52k for Leeds and Bournemouth as it is.
  23. They were standing behind both goals no idea how their older fans manage it. Definitely must be something in the water on Tyneside which renders folk unable to stand, even standing for a penalty is to much for some.
  24. Aye looks like the place will be looking like the Etihad if they carry on with these price increases. I’m sure Villa fans were up in arms at their price increases and despite their great season looked a few empty seats at Villa Park on Saturday. Think there’s a real danger the club is becoming soulless with these prices and decline in atmosphere.
