Firstly, he now does the captain’s column in the programme. It’s called something like ‘The Leadership Group’ page. secondly, after our third goal he went over to the players massed in the corner and sternly tapped his wrist, presumably reminding them about the new time keeping rules and urging them to cut short the overlong celebration. That’s incredible attention to detail. I bet no other club has even thought about keeping an eye on that.

Was good fun in the standing bit, but that Tonali chant…no.

Brave and unlucky defeat. Feels like a last minute sickener job.

I’m scared that if I tell Sandro Tonali my feelings it might ruin our friendship and make things weird

That 12/13 opener against spurs was weird. We won, and I did my best to act like it was a continuation, but deep down I think we all knew how unconvincing it was

Where would be a good place in town to watch England?

So that’s what Klopp meant

Exile has went the Graham Linehan route to complete madness. Monomania coupled with crippling dopamine addiction.

I watched a bit of the Burnley one, and are they not, all of these things, just exactly the same. Lingering shots of city, kids on an unkempt field wearing replica shirts and playing an unconvincing game of Three and in. Grey streets and moody acoustic soundtrack. A pub and its weathered, seen it all landlord. A fan in their fifties in their kitchen in front of frosted mirror bought in the club shop filling in the exposition. Behind the scenes bits one bit candid to three bits staged.

Think she was phoning Everton wasn’t she?

Not sure how it works, but presumably they do a thing with all the players and use according to narrative? So if Longstaff had not scored those goals in the cup we maybe would have seen a different player meet school kids or whatever?

Not sure if you’re talking to me, but to bring up Amnesty International and then dismiss their concerns as ‘rubbish’ is poor. Like I say, if it’s going to be this glossy feel good thing then fine, but I would prefer they didn’t mention the issue at all in that case.
-
Address it properly and explain why it’s rubbish.

Either address the links to the Saudi government properly or don’t mention them at all. Bringing it up just to dismiss it as ‘rubbish’ is insulting.

People were moaning about the atmosphere twenty years ago as well.

St James’ is lush. If it wasn’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating it.

What indication has there been that our owners have any interest in spending the astronomical amount of money a new stadium would cost? As far as I know, the only time they’ve mentioned it at all is to talk about how they never want to leave SJP

Sounds like a particularly grim night in their otherwise storied history

‘Even when we were certain to be relegated (alongside being the richest club in the world)…’

Why did he buy it specifically then? The takeover was looking way more promising at other points before summer 2021

Actually, mate, just re-read and you’re right. Didn’t register that thing about the relative amounts of ballot entries

Right, but you get the point. In this fictional scenario, it’s just as likely there’s somebody who’s being going for years who can’t get online at the time the tickets go on sale, and in that case they’re the ones that lose out to the gloryhunter selfie person
