  1. I remember on the morning of the Leeds game, somebody was already putting Leeds (a) on the loss sheet. When it was reasonably pointed out that that was a bit silly, said poster told us to come back at full time. It was stupid even if we had been turned over (and it’s easy to forget that Leeds were strong favourites) and really does illustrate this need people have for managers to fail. All a bit weird.
  2. Noticed you liking one of them mind
  3. Blimey. Just did this. Would recommend to others.
  4. Out of interest, how many of those in the board who gave theirs up were successful getting one back?
  5. Hardly fair on those within the full scope of the fanbase who didn’t attend the cup games
  6. You don’t have to indulge me mate! I’m equally fine not talking about it. But I don’t view fairness as covering the full scope of the fanbase. I would have seen fairness as rewarding those who have paid to go to the most games. But whatever, the point is they were given a say in that they were allowed to say if it was bad idea to cut out some season ticket holders and they chose not to. Were you given that much of a say? I wasn’t
  7. The club should have been told that the way they distributed tickets was unfair, which the trust were given the opportunity to do.
  8. Feel like pure shit just want anecdotes back

Their fans seem to think a point today is worse news for them than we do
  10. You should have been at the Coventry conference
  11. See how quickly they move from legitimate stuff about our owners to weird, classist digs about the city of Newcastle itself. I hate the feed the scousers chant and it’s sad to see their own fans, dismayed by sporting competition, resorting to that type of shit themselves
  12. Haha, with you- me too. In fact, I missed the goal and coming in as replays showed that the entire dynamic of the half had changed to our benefit was one of my favourite moments of the season
  13. Think they’ll look for set pieces in and around the box. Could do without Bruno sliding in daftly- something he does have an annoying habit of
  14. Yep, those first twenty seconds of the second half were rough on the nerves
  15. Nah. Reckon they’ll make a din tonight. We just need to be professional, and it might end up working to their disadvantage. It definitely won’t be flat though. This sort of game is what they have to get charged up for these days.

Hi mate, 2003, yeah? I was in the home end for that one. Got to enjoy their aborted celebration of the equaliser at first hand.
  17. Tell me if I should be happy about Leeds scoring in regards to Everton please boffins
  18. They have this exact debate on the football cliches podcast. My own feeling is once you’ve paid your money to watch a game of football, the nature of the sport you enjoy makes it impossible to guarantee a good experience. It’s not like watching an understudy- you knew the deal going in
  19. Arsenal don’t lose. Everton lose lots. I understand your point but if we’re professional enough to play games instead of occasions and focus on what we’re doing ourselves, Everton should not be considered tougher than Arsenal.
  20. Feel like it’s definitely happened in the past with clubs refunding fans
  21. I’m not sure if I’ve already said this, but I genuinely think the away end deserves credit for the most part. They largely stayed, sang a bit. Sarcastic oles and all sorts.
  22. Have to say, like, but listening to the Spurs podcast (no particular reason) having an obviously experienced host makes a huge difference. His anger is exhilarating at times and he brings in the others expertly. Makes that canny lad we have doing ours seem hugely limited
