  1. We're too impossible to predict. For all we know we could turn up next game as prime Brazil 1970s and smash it. We've always been like this! Liverpool won 6-1 in the League Cup in 2015 vs Southampton I think and we beat them a few days later under McClaren. Freak result but that's just Newcastle, a freak club in all that it does. Next league game after Brentford is Man City I think so who knows
  2. Xisco - not that one - is being lined up to replace Ivic as head coach https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/12/20/xisco-munoz-lined-watfords-next-head-coach/
  3. "The consortium have relayed to Ashley they remain very keen to buy Newcastle United, for the agreed price, thought to be higher than the original £300 million quoted, but less than £350 million. While many question why PIF – who would buy an 80% stake in the club – have not made any public statement about the state of play, it is understood the sovereign wealth fund do not want to be involved in any legal or public slanging match with regards this deal. They will, we understand, walk back to the table when paths to a deal have been cleared. Talk of restructuring the deal to a model more like Man City, Wolves or even Palace has been floated to the buyers, but, at this stage, played down as PIF want to walk through the front door at St James's Park, not through a side one." (plus other bits)

  6. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/newcastle/united-takeover-news-latest-staveley-b1759326.html - more of the same with an insider quote, the advice is solid though, keep patient and see what comes of it : "Sources close to the consortium have consistently maintained that interest in buying the club has not faded in the five months since the offer was taken off the table. They insist that PIF’s commitment remains strong and the Reubens are eager to make the deal. Staveley is keeping a low profile while the dispute between Ashley and the Premier League is played out but the potential owners believe the club will eventually end up in their hands. “It’s time to be patient,” an insider said. “The prize will eventually come our way.”"
  7. Have these quotes been circulated yet, I know some get out a little later. Asked about so-called “keyboard warriors” on Twitter and other social media platforms, Bruce said: "I never, ever read. "I hear now and again, but, as I've said, with management, everybody's got a platform, everybody's got an opinion, ‘keyboard warriors’ – or whatever you call them. "Are they the majority of supporters? I doubt it. Everybody's entitled to their opinion. I don't often agree with them, but I can't get myself worked up into a frenzy because of the keyboard warriors, that's for sure. The job's difficult enough without having to worry about all that nonsense.”
  8. In hindsight maybe better for that thread, but it's linked to Masters, primed to the takeover talk
  9. Does he not watch the games? Clearly not
