It's just a direct result of what happened at SJP in a high profile televised incident. There have always been medical emergencies in the crowd and before that the game just continued. Now they feel they have to stop it.
Wasn’t a medical emergency, was a “disturbance”.

Andy Carroll somehow scoring goals in 2021.

As long as Ritchie keeps starting as a lwb, his selection is always wrong imo. I just can't understand what Lewis and Manq have done to not be even near the squad
I worry Ritchie and Fraser may be a bit too much of a favourite of his. I hope not, because that could be very damaging for us.

Why? Have you had a funny turn?

That Spurs game was huge from a momentum perspective. Had Bruce been binned off, the 'fresh start' effect could have taken off from there.
As it is, we've had so many stutters - the previous week with Howe and Covid being a classic example - we've simply not been able to generate that slingshot momentum that could have seen an improvement in results/performances.
Which is why it was weird so many on here were unable to see the poor decision it was to not bin Bruce.
The owners got that wrong, I think from what they’ve said publicly since then, they probably know that themselves.

Impact of Howe not being present at training all week maybe?
I know he's been heavily involved but nothing beats the manager being there taking control.Possibly. But I’d be surprised if Tindall wasn’t completely aware of what we were supposed to be doing all week.
I think he just got it wrong today, in selection and tactics.
-
Nothing has changed since last week. Wasn’t expecting a win today.
Four points, or six, in the next two please.
-
We were really poor today. The referee decisions could’ve gone either way, it was a really crap game and very stop-start but that was a missed opportunity.
I was surprised how lax we were and how little we attacked.
Two big games coming up, but disappointed by that.

Through on goal and gets a nudge in the back, no idea how that’s not a penalty. Ridiculous.

It’s not that really, it’s just painful watching your team offer absolutely nothing and waiting for the inevitable opposition goals.Have been dreadful so far today. Wilson looking as isolated as he did under Bruce.
Lascelles is absolutely garbage. Can’t pass a ball to save his life.

That bratty kid squealing down the mic is quite annoying.

What a save. Arsenal's keeper is insane like.
Really? It was straight above him. His theatrical jumps don’t make it any a better save, despite how excited commentators get.

Ramsdale with another camera save.

Atmosphere is well flat, even nothing from the away fans.

Ah, fuck. A sensible/good appointment.
How disappointing.

Fergie hanging around like a fucking spectre haunting the club can't possibly be helping them.
They still cling on to the idea of the "Man Utd way" - but as RGK says the Man Utd way was just SAF. They think it was some sort of style of play or player but it was just him and his influence. It was great for them for a long time but it's done now and until they entirely move forward and find a new identity I don't think they'll be successful.
It’s no surprise both Man Utd and Arsenal have struggled post Wenger and SAF.

He’s an inspiring little cunt mind isn’t he keep.
Can just imagine him in training
”So errr, can you kick the ball to him and then we’ll play a match, I don’t know, is everyone else bored too?”

I think it's a fucking insult that he's been linked with the job at all. I'll be absolutely gutted if by some mental twist it ends up happening. Literally zero honours as a manager and 7 wins in your last 38 PL games landing you the Man Utd job ffs.
Football has never been fair. I personally think it’s hilarious how far Man Utd have fallen that the likes of Bruce are actually seriously being mentioned, whether it happens or not.

Just realised the potential of the teams to drop into the Europa:
Leipzig, Dortmund, Barca, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Atalanta, Zenit…
Real (in the very unlikely event Sheriff beat them again tomorrow).
Has there ever been a group as good as that drop down?

Assuming Benfica win their final game at home to Dynamo, does that mean Barca will need to beat Bayern?
Yup Looks like they’ll be playing in the Europa.

Who would have thought the bloke who said we should appoint Nigel Pearson over Rafa Benitez would have such a shockingly, clueless opinion?
It’s hard to disagree with him, to be fair. Bruce would be a fantastic appointment for them.
In the same way OGS was a fantastic appointment… for all of us.

“We should move heaven and earth to persuade Bruce if his door is ajar. A bumper bonus for promotion and option for extension if he fancies it in the Championship.”

On page one and not seen anyone suggest Bally or Allardyce yet.

The sliding tackles which are only necessary because he’s either been caught out by a ball over his head, or he’s ran through treacle and has to try and catch up.
As always, people recollect a long-term injured player as much better than they actually are.
It’s also pointless trying to bring him into the team because he’ll be crocked again after a week or two. Get Lewis in the team and work with him to make him a useful player.
Our back four should be Lewis, Schar, Fernandez and Manquillo. Any other combination is just totally wrong.
