  1. I think a five or six is about right. Right now it’s probably more likely than unlikely, but I expect that will change after Howe has more time and we spend in January.

Our season isn’t defined by beating both Norwich and Burnley though. Six points is ideal but four wouldn’t be a total disaster. They are more must not lose than must win.

I don’t fear anyone in this league under Howe. I did under Bruce but I now know we’ll play to win. Even the top top teams have already proven are beatable or able to get a point from:

Palace and Southampton at Man City.

Liverpool at West ham/at home to Brighton.

    Burnley at Chelsea.

    Who said ahead of?!

So hang on, you can name some teams who prove my point 'wrong' but ignore the absolute and unequivocal number of teams which prove your nonsensical point wrong.

I'll make this point again, you've named about 2 teams who've escaped from our position and I can name about 8-10 who have stayed up an even established themselves in the league in the exact same period. I dont actually know what's hard to grasp here.

    Honestly fanny you're a relentlessly crap poster:lol:

Well how would Pukki be good enough for our team, if he won’t be playing ahead of Wilson? Norwich’s main striker sitting on our bench.

Okay, let’s make this simple for you because you’re clearly a bit simple yourself:

    2017/18 Promoted:

    Wolves, Cardiff, Fulham

    Two relegated next season.

    2018/19 Promoted:

    Norwich, Sheff Utd, Aston Villa

    One relegated next season.

    One relegated season after.

    2019/20 Promoted:

    Leeds, West Brom, Fulham

    Two relegated next season.

Out of nine teams coming up, only three of them have survived more than two seasons, with Leeds questionable about staying up the second season and may make that two.

Where are these 10 established teams?

Cantwell, Pukki and Aaron's to name but 3 as you asked. The point being that the quality of the league overall is much much stronger than it ever was in the years gone past and that's without mentioned the fact the quality of managers is also unprecedented in this league at present.

Hardly proven wrong like when you can only pull a couple of examples of teams who've escaped from our position in god knows how long...

I dunno if I'm missing something but there's a significant number of teams who've come up from the championship and stayed up. I think there's only West Brom, Fulham and Stoke in the championship at present who've had any real time in the PL in the past decade, there rest of the league are thereabout teams. Half the teams in the PL at present have come from the Championship no?

Pukki ahead of Wilson? Now I know you’re talking crap.

Aarons has been awful for them this season. He’s no better than Lewis. As I said, none of their players would improve us, other than Cantwell.

Fulham, West Brom, Huddersfield, Sheff United, Swansea, Cardiff, Hull, Middlesbrough have all come up within the last five years and gone straight back down, or down within two seasons. Most of those have yo-yo’d between the two.

Add in Watford, Norwich and to some degree, Brighton and there are three more examples of teams going up and straight back down.

Top quality these days though, those Championship promoted teams.

All 3 teams have players I'd have in our team. Go back 5-6 years ago and that wouldn't happen.

The league is absolutely full of quality.

I dont remember in the past looking at Cardiff and thinking, "aye there's 2-3 players who'd be more than good enough for our team"

Just not true. Using Cardiff as one example is not representative.

Who would you have in our team from Norwich? One player, maybe? Two? Cantwell and maybe Normann? Even still I’m not sure they’d directly improve us.

Your point is proven to be wrong by the fact more often than not recently, the three who come up go down. Which is happening more regularly than it did a few years ago.

Poorly put from me but I was referencing posts saying how teams have escaped relegation from worse positions than us in the past and how that's not a fair comparison owing to the fact that teams coming up are now getting promoted with gifted players whereas I don't think that was the case in the past.

Norwich, Brentford and Watford are no better than previous teams to come up.

  6. Crystal Palace had 4 points on this day in 2013 and survived finishing 11th ffs.

It’s utter horseshit that the first 12 games mean we’re certain for relegation.

Same season the mackems had 7 points after 12 games and survived too.

OGS has based his entire managerial style on Sir Alex Ferguson. Obviously won't have been able to replicate that, but with the "leaks" regarding how he ran training and such with words on a whiteboard being the extent of it, does this mean that Sir Alex was a PFM? (in management style that is, not measured by success)

I base my performance in bed to that of David Beckham. Doesn’t stop my girlfriend being disappointed though.

Didn't he say on Friday that he felt absolutely fine?

Yup. You declare if you have symptoms when you register a PCR test too. So likely the answer to that was no.

He'll miss a couple days training week before Norwich too then. Champion.

His first day out of isolation will be the day of the game.

Everton are such a short sighted club. Spanking £60 mil on Iwobi and Walcott is madness. That money could have been used so much better.

    It’s madness.

Same with the recruitment for teams like Arsenal.

I’m horrific at football and my knowledge is probably average in comparison to others, but fucking hell I could find better players than what they’ve signed in recent years.

That Gordon playing for Everton looking like a competition winner. Can barely kick a football.

Just looked - he’s apparently a forward and has never scored a senior goal

11 appearances on loan for Preston, 23 appearances for Everton. 34 games and no goals man.

Assuming most, if not all, were sub appearances but fuck me.

Last five games are Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City sandwiched in-between six pointers versus Norwich and Burnley. Let's hope the situation has improved quite a bit by then.

All three of them will potentially be on the beach by that point mind. Ideal time to play them technically.

Assuming they have nothing to play for at that point, obviously. Could do with Chelsea pulling away.
