  1. Great news for Palace, but I think they’ll do shit business (again) and the new manager will end up doing really poorly. A big win for the PFM activists who will argue Hodgson did “such a good job”, completely ignoring the different teams the managers are working with.
  2. I was clearly expecting positivity... sunshine.
  3. Because the PL will probably say, they want to be balanced and give the consortium every opportunity to buy their club and remain open to them doing so - subject to all shadow directors going through the process. Sounds a bit like they’re not being anti-competitive then...
  4. This point gets trotted about a lot, but doesn’t actually make sense. The PL’s whole argument is they can’t make a decision to approve or reject because the consortium are refusing to comply. If the PL rejected it, that’d bring down a huge piece of their point. As for your final paragraph, there’s a really good post in your positive thread about why this ‘few weeks’ delay is actually quite important.
  5. Be even funnier if they completely collapsed into League Two.
  6. I don’t consider myself to be negative at all. I want the takeover to go through. My opinion is based on the news in front of me & the previous 16 months. Weird to have a pop at me about Jacob’s knowing fuck all when people are adamant NDM is delivering subliminal messages about the ‘highly sensitive’ court case.
  7. Kennedy is being sold the same dream Caulkin was. With fuck all to show for it.
  8. He was one of the first to report issues with the takeover, when everyone else was telling us to #wait. He has also been consistent about arbitration not taking place yet, when others where telling us to #wait as we’re nearly there.
  9. He clearly has PL sources. Just as Kennedy has consortium sources. If his confidence changed, it’d be worth listening to as it means the PL feel their position has changed.
  10. He’s been more accurate than most. People ignore him because he’s realistic, but he’s been on the money for a long time. I’d rather listen to him then try and interpret a photo of rocks on a beach. Wasn’t NDM tweeting an open path only a week ago? Seems like he’s all over the place with his subliminal messages.
  11. I’m not sure if the ‘expedited’ bit refers to how quickly it’s being arranged and heard, rather than the actual hearing itself. Hoping someone with much more knowledge can confirm.
  12. Happy for you to print it out and fan my naked body with it if I’m wrong. Truly hope I am. Sad reality is, despite all of your confidence and ‘waiting’, we’re still nowhere near a resolution. Jacobs tweeting that MA is effectively stabbing around in the dark hoping to get a solid piece of evidence through disclosure.
  13. It’s not evidence against the PL. It’s MA’s assessment of his ‘loss’. Judge refused because it’s commercially sensitive.
  14. Because the people (those ‘positive threaders’) who have been saying this will happen, are talking shit. The PL are going to delay, delay, delay... and even if it gets to a position where they have to defend themselves, they will. They’re clearly unmoved and all of the noise created by people around this whole saga is nothing but that, noise. Worth noting we opposed the extension. So thats 0/2 for court decisions now for the unbeatable legal team we have. Arbitration in July. Decision probably in August. If that goes against us, years and years of legal arguments before it even gets heard. Fuck all chance of this happening. If the PL were going to fold, they would have by now.
  15. His position personally? Or his thoughts on the PL’s position on the takeover?
  16. Not surprised in the slightest. His 1892pledge a complete flop, only one month in. The Trust have gone underground again, won’t be seen until the next shitshow to try and recruit more members for their ridiculous plans.
  17. I must be in the minority where I think the second was the right decision. He was stood directly in front of the keeper. Therefore he’s absolutely interfering with play. The only irritating part of it was I doubt it’d have made any difference if he wasn’t there. But as far as the rules go, it was offside. The first was an absolute shit show though. No idea what Dean was thinking. Although it’s hard to have sympathy for WBA when they had so many opportunities to clear it and their dogshit defending led to the goal. I also have no idea why none of the WBA players challenged the decision at all, it was weird all round.
  18. Toney has the English premium though. English players always go to English clubs for 50% more than they’re worth.
  19. Didn’t realise how close the relegation place is in France. Dijon didn’t cut the mustard and easily relegated. Nimes also down. But six teams as it stand all with a chance of finishing 18th.
  20. https://www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/11741/12245442/graham-potter-if-you-fear-getting-sacked-you-dont-make-the-right-decisions https://www.brightonandhoveindependent.co.uk/sport/football/brighton-and-hove-albion/graham-potter-could-have-been-sacked-peter-crouch-praises-brighton-standing-top-manager-3123360%3famp Albeit they are referencing him now being safe after being under pressure.
