    Ake was from Chelsea.

Just had a look and out of Howe’s 44 signings that commanded a transfer fee, only 7 were from foreign clubs. Quite remarkable really.

  2. Love the thought of Lingard using a word as complicated for him as ‘dismayed’.

”I’m totally dismayed”, Jesse said whilst hanging off the bra strings of a strippier.

Name 5, their release clause fee and how willing they are to come.

I’ve answered this already - I’m not a paid football scout. We literally pay people thousands to do this work and the best they can identify is some lumps from their own league.

However, it’s not rocket science to realise there will be players better than Ciaran fucking Clark available in Europe.

We could go to most Germany, French or Spanish sides (aside from the top clubs in each league) and handpick any player we wanted based on our transfer fund and proposed wages for other players which would be a significant increase.

For example, Valencia have just bought a CB from Basel for less than a million. Would wager my next pay packet he wouldn’t be any worse than what we have.

Nat Phillips  at those fees quoted

I wonder if it's Mandy, Eddie or a.n.other who's obsessed with carthorses?

This feels like an utter shitshow, they've got a week to get some signings in and it feels at this rate like we'll be offering Emmerson Boyce and Chris Iwelumo £5m each to come out of retirement.

    Howe, imo.

Might be wrong - how many foreign players did he buy at Bournemouth? Seem to remember quite a few were domestic.

  5. It goes to show how shite our scouting is if we identify key targets but then our back up options are the likes of Ross Barkley, Chris Wood, Nat Philips and James Tarkowski.

There are so many quality players in Europe and beyond on relatively modest salaries with acceptable release clauses.

I’m also not having this ‘relegation will be fine’ nonsense. Get to fuck.

If being the richest club in the world can’t stop relegation, what guarantees will it give for promotion?

How many Newcastle fans have a reference to Sunderland in their Twitter name or profile (for example)? Contrast that with how many FTMs you see amongst their lot. They’re not all like that but loads of them hate us more than they love SAFC

I only ever glance at their forum every couple of days or check their score on a Saturday when checking all others. There is only updates in here regarding their score or hilarious posts from RTG.

Can’t say I’ve ever searched for their latest news or been through Twitter. They seem to be continuously searching for NUFC stuff.

But surely it’s only fair to criticise at the end of the window ?

Those 2 points dropped against Watford are already very expensive and could be deadly by May.

It’s a fair point to make that we should have been much more organised and had deals done before that game.

We’re also now missing out on players joining the squad for an important break. Remember how important it was that Rafa wasn’t installed before the break of games and McClaren ruined it?

It’ll probably be a good enough recovery if we have a decent CB, LB and CM by 1 Feb, but we’re again taking unnecessary risks.

I understand that some people will be quick to defend the new regime after so many years of Ashley shit but some people just cant stand to see any criticism aimed at the owners at all, its not healthy.

It’s not even necessarily criticism, just offering a different viewpoint in some cases.

We don’t all need to blindly sit here trying to convince ourselves Chris Wood is a good signing at £25m.

Sounds like Edwards wasn’t wrong with that article the other night then.

It’s disappointing to be right, but a fair few of us have seen this coming for weeks only to get slaughtered on here.

Only hope I have is they panic in the last few days and bring in some real quality by just going all-out.

You can’t take a chance on Coutinho in our situation - he’s been utter shite for 2 years - we need players to come in and hit the ground running

Like Chris Wood has compared to Coutinho at Villa?

Criminal we turned down the chance to sign Coutinho, imo.

I get the thought process behind it, but he’s not managing Bournemouth any more. If you want quality, you need to pay for it.

It’s not like we’re signing Wood and putting him on £350k a week. One or two star players on high wages wouldn’t be a disaster.

Leicester's title winning season was momentum, exceptional form from Vardy and all the top teams being inconsistent. Spurs finishing 2nd that year tells you everything you need to know.

I suspect Ranieri had the ability to keep those things going rather than any kind of tactical mastermind. Pardew finished 5th with us - sometimes all you need is someone who has the personality and capability to maintain that harmony and momentum.

Yep. It was a really impressive team effort built around exceptional circumstances.

Players like Wes Morgan and Danny Simpson won the league, doesn’t mean they are any good. Same with Ranieri.

It’s bad if the person did it meaning to cause offence. If it’s a mistake and then was deleted then It’s just one of them…

to be honest I had to go and read the replies myself to even understand what was wrong-

imagine it’s probably just a young admin who isn’t fully aware of the connotations

I had to do the same.

I’ve never heard that expression, although it could just be a play on the phrase “cooking with gas”.

Doesn’t mean it wasn’t intentional mind.

English media was totally wrong about prices since the beggining.

It is absolutly impossible that Sevilla said that €30m was a fair prices.

Even 50 is a bit far away. I said a few days ago, and I was surprised reading your press and tweets because here we know exactly the amount of money you would need to take him.

It was a matter of giving hope just because, obviously, if you offer 3 times wages to the player he would like to go, but I don't think that your offer to Sevilla were even close to what you'd need.

I don’t doubt there is probably some truth in this.

Apparently both Lille and Sevilla have been changing the price on a daily basis, seems quite unrealistic to me and we’re the consistent player in both deals.

The English press will be getting their info from our side of the deal which is why it’s so pro-NUFC. What have the Spanish and local press said about the deal?

He’s a pure shill, doesn’t matter who it for. Really don’t like his vibes one bit

I imagine every day he bends over in the Sky studio whilst the Executive Team all take turns on him.

Keith then comes in and slurps it out with a straw.

  17. 2 minutes ago, ManDoon said:

It’s fine if they’ve got a plan b. What a stupid saga though.

According to the media, Sevilla have been changing the price for the last three weeks. Why we haven’t just gone elsewhere already I don’t know.

Intrigued to see who the next target will be, really hope it’s not Tarkowski.

How many frustrated with the Bakker deal supposedly being off have seen him play ?

I get attached to every player we are linked with and disappointed immediately afterward, even if I have no idea who they are
