  1. Pretty dull game that, no real fireworks. Happy enough with the results all round this weekend, though.
  2. Aye it's a weird one. I personally think he's the better keeper, but with Dubravka extended by another year and Trafford rumoured to be signing, you wonder what the long term plan is. Maybe it's to rotate those two this year and then one of them is off in the summer.
  3. It's still on TNT. Fenerbahce 1 up, 4-0 on aggregate
  4. If anything, I'd have given two yellows, one for the slap the other for simulation. But then VAR couldn't have gotten involved if there wasn't a straight red
  5. Strange red card there - hard to see what happened. Looked like a slap to the chest
  6. Yep, going to be a good second half
  7. I will say, through gritted teeth, that Bruno Fernandez comes out of that quite well.
  8. Nunez misses from 7 yards
  9. Liverpool are strange to watch - often look a bit toothless till Salah gets involved.
  10. Good cross and finish - I'll hand over text updates to Big Geordie
  11. Rashford has been ok. Most things from villa are coming through him
  12. "Legal onslaught" = challenging rules where the previous rules have already been shown to be void and the new ones might well be.
  13. Decent game, this. Juve deservedly ahead
  14. It is, yes. Not sure of the terms of the tribunal, but the two concepts are very similar.
  15. In most businesses, APTs are perfectly legal, they just need to be disclosed so that shareholders know where the money is really coming from. What the PL have tried to do instead is so obviously wrong since they have attempted to come up with a new definition as to what can actually be spent which makes no commercial or sustainability logic, which doesn't follow the law per the latest ruling, and nor have they given any reason as to why they are required unless it is to stop certain clubs and protect others. Not saying anything new here I realise, just amazed that they have gotten away with it for so long. No idea why Masters thinks any part of his revised rules will apply, but not surprised he's tried to revert to UEFA rules since the problem then shifts from his desk.
  16. People chaining themselves by the neck to a goalpost and a janitor coming along with an impractical giant pair of pliers to try and solve it.
  17. PSR should be better for us than SCR next season, you'd expect. And by better, I mean slightly less rubbish. Anyway, get the new stadium announced along with a new "official stadium building and legal objections partner".
  18. Must have been an interesting meeting - I know, let's stick with the rules being legally challenged, in order not to bring in new rules in case they are legally challenged.
  19. Hopefully the whole team rocks up at Villa Park in Wham training hoodies, with JT singing Club Tropicana
  20. Was going to say that Spurs are a bit rubbish, but wasn't sure if that was just Liverpool being quite good. But then you look at the league table and realise both of those things are probably true. Spurs not attacking with any real conviction and overrun in midfield this half. Going to take a hell of a turnaround for them.
  21. We've got Arsenal's number here mind. Sick as a dog and have work today, don't even care so happy

    St James' Park

Darren you've got to let us know. Should we stay or should we go? If we go there will be trouble, but if we stay it would be double.
