Listening to a comment on the radio.. If Southgate had to apply for the job back in 2016 he would not have got it. It was more there was no other English option available after he got the caretaker job. 6 years later we are still saying there is no viable English manager options. If we really want to stick to the English or nothing rule.. how do the FA encourage top clubs to give English managers a pathway to the top. I mean it's how Mike Bassett got the job in the 2001 film and people thought it was a joke back then!

Fully agree... Sometimes you need someone to lay the foundations but then you need a manager with that extra 1 percent to breakthrough to next level.

He has done a good job but I personally believe we could have done and should have done better. And maybe a braver man gambles at the crucial stages of the tournaments... We needed quality balls in the box, you bring Maddison on. You need a fox in the box you bring Wilson on but you have to have a plan B or even C.

Nothing against Southgate as such but I would much rather he stepped down and give us 4 years to develop a team for the next World Cup. His contract is up after the euros.. why start a fresh after that?

I just feel in a world cup of 5 subs we massively underused our squad. Rather then hold back and save energy we could have put teams to the sword for a full 90 mins. Maddison, grealish, Rashford Gallagher, Wilson and more all there in our tool box

The midfield must be told to play like this? Save your energy by standing still for 45 mins?

So injured before we signed him, then injured whilst at Sweden but we are still talking about our physio's or training being the issue? Maybe it's like Wilson, where once a hamstring goes it's the balance of resting or risking it will pop again if not fully healed. Personally I reckon if we were in a relgation battle or had Bruce in charge we would be pushing the players to play asap. I mean if you look at Wilson he was out to three times in 20/21 as we needed him back the second he could walk!

Just make some f'ing subs man... This is not doing Southgate or the team any favours
