They played exciting attacking football with marauding fullbacks, but they could afford to do that because well, the quality of the opposition up here is so poor. It is always very hard to make an assessment of how good a managers system is within that context, because you’re only really getting tested 4-5 games a season, and you’re up against such tactical geniuses as Malky Mackay, Jack Ross and Craig Leaven. The EPL is a totally different kettle of fish

He’s playing well. Okay his finishing isn’t great, but I’m now at a place where if he’s in the team I’m okay with it. He will get more goals, and he adds so much to the function of the team both defensively and offensively. Would be great if he was able to cut in and unleash though.

Yeah I noticed him doing it a few times, and standing just a couple yards in front of the fullback, I guess forcing them to make a decision to either get tight or stand off. Either option is not a good one.
