I love the optimism @WillingtonMag. I just think over the course of a season there’s not much chance we’re getting near to the big 6 and that’s fine. We still have a squad that is fairly thin and teams will have plans next year on how to play us, players form may drop and we don’t know if the half season under Howe will be replicated or was a flash in the pan. Though if we can keep our home form we might get in the conversation. Aware that other ‘challengers’ are strengthening too mind.

So much of the Southgate hate is from our knuckle dragged fans that don’t like how “woke” he is or whatever, and though I would always defend the job he’s done to date, questions do need ti be asked. However, he’s going nowhere till after the World Cup. We don’t have a defence capable of winning it and there are a number of very strong teams out there so I don’t really get what people want. We’re still technically quite far behind other countries iyam.

I think JWP would be a statement tbh…in the sense that he’s probably one of the best players outside of the bigger clubs in the prem and is currently flavour of the month. Think we could do better for less money though. Having said that I do think he would improve our central midfield if we’re looking to retain and move the ball a bit more.

Scotland is fucking class and no, 50% of Scotland aren’t on the dole. Back to football though please or just lock this until there is any movement.

He’s great and means we can add quality in other areas of the pitch. He also clearly loves it here.
