  1. Nobody can argue that what Ranieri did was a miracle but I think the fact he's been fairly average everywhere else is why people don't rate him that highly. Would anyone haven taken. him at NUFC? I wouldn't have.
  2. They play some fantastic football, they create a lot of chances they just don't have a clinical striker to put them away. Regarding net spend, that's fair enough but their squad is still not great, they've come up from the championship and their squad needed/needs a lot of investment.
  3. OGS 9th? Please explain? Genuinely curious.
  4. So how are we hoping Howe will line us up? I'm hoping for this: Wilson St Max Almiron - Hayden - Willock - Murphy Ritchie - Lascelles - Fernandez - Manquillo Dubravka I'd want Schar and Lewis to start eventually but I'd prefer if those two are eased in, I think they could both end up being a liability if rushed back in. Also hopefully Eddie could bring something out of Fraser because Murphy is not a premier league standard winger. Ball winning midfielder who can control the game should be the priority in January.
  5. Nobody else rate Klopp higher than Pep? For me what he's done for Liverpool is more impressive than pep for city.

    Rafa Benítez

    It's the thought that counts

    Rafa Benítez

Rafa was wearing a black and white tie at the Everton Spurs game today Anyone got a picture?
  8. This must be a tactic to make us look so ridiculously bad that who ever comes in after Jones looks like Pep Guardiola.
  9. Absolutely despise this hypocritical cunt, worse than Edwards for me.
  10. I'm also one of the ones who after really thinking about I'm happy with Howe. It was disappointing after it looking like Emery was nailed on though. Also looking back if you compare his squad that got relegated to our squad now, there's not many players from his squad that I'd swap for ours. Apart from Ake I'd say the two squads are pretty much on par if not ours is better. I was one of the ones saying that Howe will get us relegated but I really really hope I'm wrong, he seems like a sound guy and compared to Bruce he may as well be Guardiola. I will be behind him 100%. The rest of these clubs are scared of us and it's us against them now, fuck all of them.
  11. This is actually pretty normal. Part of the reason Tottenham brought in Fabio Paratici in the summer was to have a better chance of getting Conte. They often come as a package deal, similar to Ten Hag and Overmars.
  12. The only way they can redeem themselves now is to go all out to get Ten Hag
  13. You do make a good point regarding entitlement. Imagine not wanting Howe while Bruce and Ashley were still here. It will be massively underwhelming after apparently being so close to getting Emery though. The problem is relegation would set us back massively, and I personally think we would likely go down with Howe in charge.
  14. If we end up with Howe I'll be gutted. We need someone who can organise a defense. His Bournemouth was literally known for leaking a lot of goals.
  15. A change was needed because he sent them into a downwards spiral after being backed heavily by the club for various seasons... Please explain what makes anyone think he's the guy to come into this shitshow of a defense we have and galvanise/organise the second worst defensive team in the league fast enough to save us from relegation?
  16. This guy is followed by Fabrizio Romano as well...
  17. So you're saying they were wrong to have back up plans? What if they went all in for Emery and then after 2 weeks of negotiations were left back at stage 1 with no back up plan? That sounds more like the behaviour of Mike Ashley than competent owners to me.
  18. https://themastermindsite.com/2020/11/14/unai-emery-villarreal-tactical-analysis/ Interesting how I'm seeing a lot of people describe Emery as a defensive coach similar to Rafa but this article talks about how "Emery likes to play out from the back, Villarreal are also quite good at keeping the ball in the opposition half and dominating possession once there. They’ve kept 57% of the possession so far this season (4th best in the league) and their possession and positional statistics are very balanced between the three thirds of the field."
  19. If we get the right guy it won't take long before he turns "unwinnable" games into winnable ones. How many games did we feel were unwinnable under Rafa?
  20. Get this guy on the board, I'm sure they'll offer him DOF as well once he explains how simple this actually is!

    Graeme Jones

I think that 4-3-1-2 suits us btw. Almiron as the 10 looked good in that game vs everton and wilson and st max seemed to played well as the split strikers. I also think hayden as the middle cm being able to drop back between the CBs suited him. I also think willock as a wide 8 in that formation would suit his style of play perfectly being able to make those late runs.

    Graeme Jones

I was surprised he had us parking the bus. From what I heard about his time at other clubs I thought he was a very attacking coach. I remember reading an analysis about his 4-3-1-2 he played at Luton and what we appeared to play vs everton the first game he came in.
  23. Just off the top of my head Arsenal: Smith-Rowe Villa: Matty Cash Brentford: Toney - Would absolutely love to get toney, he's been unreal since going to brentford. Brighton: Lamptey Burnley: Mcneil Chelsea: Christeansen Palace: Eberechi Eze Everton: Demarai Gray Leeds: Phillips Leicester: Tielemans Liverpool: Tsmikas Man City: Cancelo ManU: Greenwood Norwich: Cantwell Southampton: Livramento Spurs: Ndombele Watford: Sarr West Ham: Rice Wolves: Neves
  24. Didn't take him long to develop a vendetta against us, what a salty man child.
  25. According to Bruce it's one or the other... Even before he decided to do it "his way" we were still a mess at the back
