I feel like the Striker position is the most likely position to flop, even signing semi experienced players such as Werner is a bit of a toss up. Then there's the signings like Fernando Torres who are proven top level strikers and still ended up flopping. After reading that twitter thread about Darwin Nunez someone posted in here earlier it's definitely put me off him. The twitter thread mentions that Nunez is completely terrible at passing and would therefore not work at all at a top club that want to play possession based football. From what I've read about Howe he ideally will want to play attacking possession based football so Nunez seems like a bit of a no go.

Not necessarily disagreeing with people saying Tammy is better/more proven but is there something to be said about Tammy doing it for Chelsea and Roma which are both top teams and therefore create more chances than a team like Brentford? I guess you'd have to look and xG and stuff like that.

Pretty sure he's one of that "burnsey" weirdo's accounts including mouth on the tyne or something like that, I've had them blocked for ages and suggest everyone else does the same. Thought he was wasted when he came in for Shelvey. Maybe that's also down to Shelvey being low key very important to our system since Howe? As I'm typing this I'm asking myself if Shelvey is being written off to quickly by a lot of us and deserves a bigger role next season than a lot of us would like to admit? I really can't think of a bad game Shelvey has had since Howe came in.

Out of curiosity, what do you think is the main factor holding Man U back from winning trophies currently? Obviously the board is pretty rotten but what specifically are their biggest mistakes? Managers, quality of signings, lack of signings, not having a DOF, not having a clear culture through out the club?

No way he's slower than Shelvey over short distance. If anything I think his acceleration is quite good and it's his top speed that lets him down.

Why is the majority of talk on here about moving sites when the owners have already said they want to expand St James? Would they have said that without knowing it is possible?

We played very well as a collective unit but we did look a bit one-dimensional/toothless with Murphy on the left instead of Maxi. Murphy nor Fraser are going to beat 2 men to go to the byline and cut it back the way Maxi has been doing recently. I do agree in the sense that Maxi is more like the cherry on top now that Howe has the squad so well drilled and knowing their role.

The Brazilian guy on here said Bruno has a talent of knowing exactly the right weight to put on a pass depending on which player he is passing to. He was on the pitch for 6 minutes and we've already seen that talent. This guy will be world class.

I'd also bin Shelvey, IF we had another midfielder who could play the deepest. I just think Bruno will be wasted being our deepest midfielder. So that means it's down to Joelinton or Willock. It's a really tough decision and I actually don't know who I would rather see dropped out of the two. I think I'll just trust Howe's decision on this. The one thing we all know for sure is that he HAS to start, Maxi, Bruno and Tripps have to be the first 3 names on the team sheet.

I think Lamptey will go on to play at the highest level, he was signed because of Ashworth's extensive knowledge of club's academies.
