It's strange really , Spurs are always going to spend more than us due to PRS and players are likely always choosing London over Newcastle but I just don't see Spurs as a big threat to us long term. I see the 5 big clubs and even Villa as a much bigger threat in the coming years .

It took him a good few months to clean up the mess Bruce left plus our squad was far worse than what Amorim has now . We got hammered by Spurs but by the end of the season we were beating Arsenal, which stopped them qualifying for the champions league. You could see the amount of progress we had made in such a short amount of time . Amorim had had Europe fair enough but the standard this year in that competition was so poor. He hardly had to do much to get that Man United team to the final and in the end couldn't even beat Spurs who have been a laughing stock all season long . Original point being Eddie inherited a far worse mess than Amorim did and didn't need to rely on any sort of system to improve it.

They didn't even discuss us on MNF the other night when they were talking about who's going to qualify for the champions league . Made out that was only two spaces remaining and said they expected City and Villa to get them as Chelsea wouldn't win at Forest . Not a single mention of us which shows how certain they are we are we are getting one.

This whole he doesn't have the players for his system is bollocks as well mind. Remember when Eddie came in and we were rock bottom it took him about 3 months to sort the Bruce mess out but he actually got a tune of the players in the end and some of the players are still here now . If you are a top class manager you do well with what you have and don't need to rely on some sort of silly system . Man United also have a far better squad now than we did in the first season Eddie came in.

They are so so poor mind , I actually thought they would win last night but aside from a ten minute spell at the end they were absolutely hopeless . That's literally the best they can play as well with all their best players on the pitch. I know they will spend a shit load of money in the summer again but they are so far away from being a good side .

Levels above Dubravka and undoubtedly a top keeper but he did go through a spell after his injury where he looked a bit dodgy. Looks back on form now but I still don't think he is the same player he was two years ago.

Nobody would be on his back half as much as this if he was simply just playing poorly or out of form. It's literally the fact that ever since his move to Liverpool fell through last summer his attitude has seemed all wrong, last season he never stopped running and pressing but this season it has been the exact opposite . It's his attitude not lack of form that he is rightly getting questioned for .

Yeah that's the issue , we can all laugh at Man United for being shit but they have way more resources than we will ever be allowed to spend . They can blow pretty much anyone out the water with wages, so eventually they will get it right and end up near the top again. Unfortunately we have to be careful with every signing we make due to PRS and will never be allowed to pay the wages they can so are at a massive disadvantage.

Isak has missed four games this season and we have zero goals from open play in them games . Arsenal , Liverpool and Everton away along with Man City at home so not exactly easy games to be fair .

If you had the Murphy commitment with the Gorden talent you would have one of the best wingers in the world .

Seems he did the same at Everton as well which is why they all hate him.

He clearly has a stinking attitude mind , was awful at the start of season when he never got his move to Liverpool. Improved slightly after he got a contract but now he's just back to half arsed . Thing is with Gordon is he's not elite at all , a big part of his game that elevates him to a high level is his pressing and running and if he can't be arsed then he's just average .

Saying this now before the mad meltdown that will happen in this thread after our match is over today. We aren't getting anything away at Arsenal without Joelinton and Isak but it's irrelevant as we will still win next week so everyone needs to stay calm.

Isak hasn't been fit since before the cup final .

Forest winning isn't a bad thing anyway means they have motivation next weekend .

To be fair as much as I dislike Palace it's good for football than us and them won the domestic cups this season beating Liverpool and Man City .

I am resigned to the fact they are coming up now , have zero faith at all in Sheff United . They will still have a horror season and hate pretty much every minute of it. They will also end up hating everyone from the players to the manager but I would still rather they just stayed in the championship and had no chance of a fluke derby win.

Would rather Man City won this , Palace can get fucked the way the fans were going on last summer over Guehi saying why would he go to a smaller club etc. They also think they are bastions of human rights for some reason.

Yep, it's been obvious for weeks now it was always going down to the last day and we needed to get to 69 points for a top 5 finish . The Chelsea game last week was always the key one and once we won that I stopped worrying if we would do it or not . No way this team throw it away at home to Everton on the last day .

We are ahead of Chelsea and Man City who have spent billions and only a point behind Arsenal who have spent a fortune as well despite us not buying a first team player for about two years. Every team has bad results during the season. To say we should have sewn up CL by now is wild . We are massively overachieving if anything .

Good player but we've done pretty well without him this season, it's not like he's going to be the difference between us finishing 5th and 6th in these last two games .
