I remember posts on here with people saying they didn't want Semenyo last summer as he wasn't good enough.

If anyone wonders why despite being in the champions league we struggle to attract the elite players all they need to do is look at that list . Thats exactly what PSR is designed for as well.

I think he's massively overrated and will never be good enough for an elite club. Miley is a far better player even at this stage in his career.

Knew it was going to be shit last night as the pubs were dead and was no pre match atmosphere at all. The worst bit is that the atmosphere has been good at times over the last few years but only in a handful of games , it shows it can be done when people can be arsed but for some reason they choose not to.

I think it's almost certain he will want to join Man City and will do in the summer. It is all about the fee we get for him now, we paid 30 million for him and with how he has progressed since then we should be demanding at least double that. Hall is the better of the two anyway so as long as we keep him that's the main thing.

What's the alternative to having expensive tickets though ? Cheap ones with an Ashley type owner ?. I know which one I prefer .

Yeah some guy 3 seats away from me was going mad when Tonali got subbed also spent the game criticising Murphy every time he made a mistake . Having said that it wasn't the usual person that sits in that seat and I have never seen him before so tells you the type of "fan" he is .

Even during his bad run of form I still maintain we are a better side with him playing , just gives us a lot of bite and other players will hate playing against him . We certainly wouldn't have rolled over in the derby if he was playing .

A big part of that Is losing Isak though, sell your best player and its hard to improve especially when numerous top class players we went after turned us down as we aren't allowed to pay them top wages.

Arteta has literally spent about a billion quid and has an FA cup with an Unai Emery team to show for it, PSR doesn't remotely apply to them.

We can't be an elite club with PSR as it is anyway, Chelsea got Mourinho plus unlimited money, same with Man City. We will never be allowed to do so and that's the difference. We could appoint Pep tomorrow and he would struggle to turn us into an elite team with PSR. Chelsea and Man United for example spend about a billion quid every summer and pay unlimited wages but look nowhere near winning the league.

For all the Howe out nonsense I am still yet to see a realistic alternative mentioned for who we would get to replace him. We already have a better manager than Chelsea, Spurs and Man United and with them being 3 members of the so called big 6 it suggests to me a lack of genuine top class managers that are available anyway. I am not even sure Arteta is any better than Eddie either, he just has a seemingly unlimited budget and has spent probably double what we have and has them playing like the crazy gang 30 years ago.
