I feel like this is a free hit , absolutely no pressure on us at all to get a result really but it's a game they have to win if they want to have any chance of finishing above us .

I reckon 99% of us all wanted Emery ahead of Eddie at the time to be fair . Both have proven to be two of the best managers in the league since they were appointed but Eddie has done a better job than Emery with the cup win and likely finishing above Villa again this season . We were at a far lower starting point than Villa as well. I don't think Emery would have got Newcastle like Eddie has either .

I still maintain we were only so bad against Fulham and Bournemouth due getting distracted by the cup run as well.

We are at home and they are 12th in the league . It's no different to playing Brentford a few weeks ago really . They are a decent side but are 12th for a reason and we are on a roll. 3-1.

I wouldn't even class it as a poor performance to be honest , the game was won after 10 minutes so we just strolled about in first gear preserving our energy for the run in. With such a small squad and some huge games to come it was a very clever performance if anything .

Villa play us , PSG, Man City and a FA cup semi final in the space of 11 days . Thats why I am not overly concerned by them as they just have so much going on. Besides if we win our next two we will go into that Villa game with a nice 5 point cushion over them anyway .

With the fixtures we have left and after watching how poor both Chelsea and Man City have looked today I really think a top 5 spot is ours to lose .

When you look at the squads City ,Villa and Chelsea have plus the money they have spent it's mental that we are competing with them really .

Still in our hands , what other teams do is irrelevant really as if we win all our home games and beat Leicester it will be enough for top 5 regardless of other results .
