Barnes is a good player and has lots of potential, he got 13 league goals last season in a relegated team , for comparison Maxi has scored 12 league goals in four seasons for us .

Barnes fits our system a lot more than Maxi and Eddie will obviously know this .

I like him but you don't get very far with inconsistent injury prone wingers, no other teams in the top 6 would want him and we should be no different, if we can get 30 or 40 million for him we should sell.

He was obviously a wanker but comfortably did better for Newcastle than any other manager Ashley appointed. Unless we include Keegan in that but he Doesn't really count under Ashley.

It’s obvious he’s not the right fit for our intense pressing style , good player no doubt but not the right fit for us and Eddie obviously knew this .

If I was Kane I would certainly value winning a few Bundesliga titles and German FA cup equivalents, along with a good chance of the champions league ahead of wining nothing with Spurs but beating the goal record .

He is a typical Spurs signing , very good player but not elite , they will finish 6th or 7th next season with a team full of Maddison level players .

The fact I couldn’t care less if he goes to Spurs over us says it all.

Not sure on that, I genuinely think Arsenal over achieved massively in the first half of last season, the second half of the season and the results they had from April onwards I think are more representative of the level they are at. I think they will be anywhere between 2nd and 5th next season but nowhere near challenging for the title.

Better for us if Rice goes to Man City, we aren't catching them whilst Pep is still about but no reason why we cant compete with Arsenal.

Spurs are a sinking ship, we have took Spurs place in the top 6, you could probably argue even Villa would be a better option than Spurs now, he would be mad to go to them unless he just wants more money.

Signing Maguire and Mctominay would be absolutely horrendous mind .

They had to cheat due to FFP which was only brought in to protect the big four clubs and Spurs, I don’t blame them for for doing it.

Don’t really get how anyone can dislike City, they have stopped the Man United dominance of the league , prevented Liverpool winning more league titles and in general pissed off the other big 4 teams and Spurs , how can you dislike them really ?

75 million be fine with me as long as its spent properly which I have no doubt it will be, we can only spend what FFP allows and we are way ahead of schedule in terms of league position.

Paying 50 million for James Maddison with a year left on his contract is exactly the type of thing I would expect Spurs to do. I hope we stay well clear at that price.

Its definitely the Papa Johns of European trophies but it would still be nice to win. Having said that I would like to think our ambition and owners we have now means we wont ever end up in it.
