    Paul Dummett

Thought we would be looking forward and getting rid of him. Get Target in and a young prospect. Burn can always fill in if injuries kick in.

    Matt Targett

Perfect fit behind Maxi, good at defending and gets forward to create space. Doesn't need to be that great at actually attacking if he is behind ASM as will rarely get the ball anyway.
  3. Cant remember a season where it still could be so many teams that could go down.
  4. I love how he puts in a shift and puts himself about but it also costs him as he isn't just hanging around on the last man waiting for an opportunity.
  5. Not sure it's about luck. We have made them look as though they have played poor and hassled them into not playing there best. Give some credit to Howe and the lads ffs
  6. Hope to god we finish higher than Blackburn as that would be a bad end to our season.
  7. This is going to the wire.
  8. Seems a good lad and never let's his head go down, would love to see him move to different league and play games. Can't see him ever being good enough to start games and if we stay up and reinforce again can't see him ever paying.

    Kieran Trippier

Hopefully his impact just over last few games is enough and we keep it going. He has helped change the players around him already and defence looks better. Its a big blow but confident we can cope.

Might be better to go to a back 3 and play 343
  11. All depends what happens tomorrow with our results, wouldn't say others above us or out of danger yer. Another couple of defeats and a few back in it.
  12. I agree that he has been shit for a long time and his critism then was understable and i was the first to slate him when it deserved. I'll also be glad when we bring in a proper cdm that is of higher quality but for now he is the best option we have and has played very well and put in a shift every game which Is very unlike him. There are so many positions that in the near future will be upgraded and rightly so if we want to progress but how many players were utter shit before Howe that now look decent and are now showing up. You may not like Shelvey and that's your right but we need to use the players we have until we can improve and he is by far the best midfielder we have at sitting back and playing that role especially in a 3 and give credit when it's due as if we went by previous form we would only be playing with 5 players.
  13. Think I must be watching different games to me, playing in a 3 you need a deep lying midfielder and Shelvey has done that brilliantly of late. Swapping Bruno and asking him to do that is a waste of his talents. Shelvey could score a hatrick and still get slated on here.
  14. You can't play Joelinton sitting in front of back 4, definitely isn't that type of player and you still need someone with a decent pass and composure there.
  15. Preferably he would play with a CDM and a ATM so he can be box to box, the only midfielder we have who can sit deeper is Shelvey right now so really it's a choice between Big Joe and Willock. If he did start Bruno I'd start Joelinton although he is also more box to box also then bring on Willock for last 20 or so if a goal is needed. I think we will go unchanged to show the players if you play well and win you keep your place.
  16. I don't think Howe will change the team apart from lb as that's forced, I thought everyone for to a man played brilliantly against the toffees. Surely if the same team is fit it sends out the wrong message to get dropped after playing so well and winning two on the bounce.

  18. I agree wasn't the best against Watford but since Howe had Been in he has been one of best performers. He isn't really there to break up play and if he is then there's something wrong. I'm just saying he won't be dropped and in my opinion he shouldn't be, Nice to have options though if he isn't contributing to bring on Willock or even for more threat in the box once opposition tiring.
  19. Howe isn't going to drop Shelvey and big Joe will be expected to arrive late in the box, Bruno looks like he can also add some extra forward runs. Most on here don't like Shelvey but he is on form and been very good of late and I'm sure Howe and his staff know that and he won't be dropped.
  20. If Bruno starts it will be Willock who misses out, he has been garbage all season apart from an OK second half against Leeds. That's the position we've needed strengthening as neither Longstaff, Willock or Miggy have done anything when they have been played. If anything Longsaff has shown more at times as atleast he has been closing down but there passing had been awful and ball retention just as bad. Hopefully Willock will push on but but if any players miss out it should be Willock or Longstaff.
  21. Blame it on Ashley, should have been moved on a few years ago and now ends like this. Hopefully he gets another club in the summer and moves on at a lower level.
  22. They should enjoy there front foot football, attacking style.
  23. Hope we give this lad some time if he doesn't hit the ground running, people seem to think he is Kante and KDB mixed into one when in reality he hasn't even played in the Premier, I think he is a great player and looking forward to seeing him play and he may come in and tear it up but he may not at first.
  24. That's been tried and didn't work, just bought a cdm and now want to put him as an attacking midfielder.
  25. Shelvey has been our best or 2nd best player since Howe, not sure what games some have you been watching. Who else will play instead in a 3, Willock has had one OK half all season, Longstaff has been poor. Not sure the logic of leaving one of inform players out because he was poor before the new manager. Bruno can only improve him as he and big Joe will do more of the donkey work.
