[LCQF] Newcastle United vs. Fulham: 17/12/25 @ 20:15 (Sky Sports/ITV)

Having looked at the line ups, I think that Fulham side takes the game to ours tonight. Not played on paper though and all that -
For Ramsey to be signed for £40 million and then be left behind Willock in selection preference suggests some serious buyers remorse, like. Unless we’re trying to show potential buyers for Willock that he can actually stay fit for longer than 5 minutes
-
I’m fairly sure they’ll be up for it but so will we. I’d say their concern is that they are stuttering a bit over the last 5/6 games albeit with a good draw against Arsenal in there. Even then, they left that late and it was largely against the run of play. I’m not going to say we’re playing them at a good time but I’d much rather do it next week than earlier in the season. Bruno vs Xhaka in the midfield will be a good battle, they’re both playing well atm.

If you suspect it’s Burnsie, it almost certainly is
-
Aye, I’m not sure what he was meant to provide when deputising for any of the midfield three. He’s been fit and available for most of the time though which has been a pleasant surprise since I was worried we’d signed a bit of a sicknote

The less touches the better with this kid. Some decent deliveries when he got it out quickly

Tell you what, there can’t be many more sides in Europe that cause themselves bother like we do. Brain dead fouls, stupid passing decisions, loose touches. That was far more tense than it had any right to be -

These are shocking. Another bunch of no-marks trying to play for corners to absolutely no success. Relegation beckons -
Staying up until 2 in the morning to watch Ecuador vs Curacao is what true World Cup memories are made of

This is an absolute masterclass in stretching things out heel dragging at its worst

Some going when Infantino has been able to outwaffle Trump

The fucking thing takes so long, he’ll be asleep by the time the actual draw starts

All went a bit flat by the end of that half but we have a good range of attacking subs on the bench. As long as we don’t get caught out at the other end, they can be the difference. I’ll take 1-0 now -
Plenty scope for adverts across the screen when VAR is doing its thing.

Down in every metric on THE STATS again yesterday but still coming out with the wins. Sign of a decent side or an unsustainable habit? Suppose we’ll find out in the long run

Schar will play on Tuesday, lads. Try not to worry. We’ve got two games a week for the next month, man -
Had a feeling that something like this would happen. Going to a straight round of 32 knockout tournament has far too much potential for big teams to get knocked out before the final stages without it

We’ll win tomorrow. An ugly, ground out win but we’ll win -
Joelinton is declining, sadly. If I’m Miley and Ramsey, I’m making a very strong case to start games. They can both retain the ball better than he can and Joelinton isn’t even a particularly effective destroyer anymore
-
Criminal performance. Hardly anybody wanted the ball and nobody wanted to fight for it back. A better side would have genuinely scored 5 or 6 past that.

Did we look better or worse than this last year before the insane 9 game run? Probably a bit much to expect that again
