Yeah she was - I remember the take over and genuinely said to my dad “I’d be delighted with either Howe, Emery or Poche with Howe being my first choice” then they go out try and get Emery then Howe - I just agreed with 95% of what they did.

Same I get she overspent and we had to sell but her gamble paid off as that team and manager and everything she built won a cup and CL twice. PIF should have just brought a financial person along to work with her, I get I’m seriously simplyfying it but we’ve felt her loss.

Just checked last season Murphy had 2 goals more but that was Murphy best by far (8 goals and 12 assists last season) but every other Murphy’s are way worse (around 3 goals and 6 assists last season, 4 and 2 season before) where last 2 seasons elangles have been consistent (6 and 11 then 6 and 10). It seems what we’ll get is a Murphy slightly lower than his best but consistently.

Fair enough but reports are saying Forest won’t even consider talking unless a bid of at least £60m is tabled, I mean he has 3 years left on his contract yet so far apparently we’ve only bid around £45m, I mean come on. Annoying thing is I think there’s no doubt he’ll want to come as we’ve hit CL twice in last three years etc.

It not a single word he said is wrong, Howe has performed miracles this season and so far not been backed at all, I know it’s early days but expecting Isak to play around 50 games or something (we’re now used to cup runs as well) and still perform is just mental.

Notts Forrest want to keep him, he’s got the same length on his contract as Isak, they don’t need the money - we’re not getting him in my opinion, I just can’t see them selling and I don’t understand why we spend so much energy sniffing around players not for sale.

Last years teams didn’t buy - already Leeds have made two supposedly good signings and Sunderland have sold two and bought one so are reshaping their squad. Leeds apparently have around £100m to spend and with the Bellingham, Brighton sale (can’t remember his name), new shirt deal and money apparently Sunderland’s owner is giving them they could have around that as well (they’ve just spend £35m on a new attacking midfielder though) so I think this year is vastly different to last. Burnley need to think long and hard as they may have finished so many points above Sunderland but Sunderland moved down a few gears quite a few games when it was clear they were finishing in the playoffs regardless. IMO this is why I believe Burnley will sell Trafford- to get the money to pump back into the squad.

I agree on this - offering £25m for Trafford when Burnley has always said around £40m and £25m here are borderline waste of time bids.

Liverpool’s top two wages are £400,000 and £350,000 - we still can’t compete with that.

I mean Sunderland picked up 4 points against Burnley last season so there is that as well.

This was us saying (or at least me) saying I think he’ll leave as he has higher ambitions and nothing I’ve heard proves otherwise to me. That’s all I said and Chris-r posts were very articulate and well written, nobody slagged him off - not even once.

I don’t see that at all personally , both Bruno and tonali talk of their love for this club and this is something he never does. I also believe this is the longest he’s been at a club, he has no help and was absolutely knackered end of last season down to the sheer amount of minutes he put in. I seen an interview where Shearer asked him about breaking his record with Newcastle and isak gave the same non commital answer. When he has two years left and not signed a new contract I believe we’ll have to sell him.

And say helping us get yet another CL campaign in that year their playing, yeah it’s a win all round for me.
