If all we've read is true then I would think so. Can't see Chelsea paying £80m for Fofana but they've done stupider stuff so who knows. Comes down to whether we can actually agree a fee. Would be nice to have it done before Saturday although I know that isn't likely.

Alot of players flop at Chelsea, especially attacking ones. Werner would do well here I think and suits what we need in terms of Wide Forwards but also cover for Wilson when needed, seems a no brainer. His wages and what Chelsea have up their sleeve is another matter.

No doubt about that. But that doesn't change the fact they won't be selling all 5 of those first team players when we are so close to start of the season.

So does £80m for Fofana but they can't just sell all their players a week before the season starts. If rumours are believed, Maddison, Fofana, Schmeichel, Tielemans and Barnes will all be leaving. Somethings got to give obviously but they won't be letting 5 first team players leave in the next 2 weeks whilst they've made ZERO signings.

I'd be less than amused with this happening.

Would be exciting if we can get this done. Certainly changes our attacking dynamic massively if we add Maddison into that front 3 with Wilson and ASM. Leicester seem to be pressing the reset button this season. Going to be a strange one for them, playing the long game perhaps. Can't see them even making top 10 at this rate.

Think that might depend on how serious Lewis injury is. We've got Targett and Dummett as LB options but with Dummetts injury record having Bondswell as 3rd choice (assuming Lewis is out for a little while) wouldn't be the worst thing.

I certainly see more passing the way he's facing when he's in our own half. Definitely has improved in some aspects in the last few weeks. Really good control at speed as well for the goal, thought the defender would get it but he always kept the ball just out of reach. Easy to fluff those and get the ball stuck under your feet when going so quickly.

Confident of a win. However, always cautious of newly promoted team, especially one that has made 11 or so new signings. They could be a total mess or might surprise everyone. Its not going to be a walk over by any means.

Commentator was saying he wasn't sure who'd start at CB against Forrest. No way Botman doesn't start, Burn or Schar next to him is the only question. Solid as anything and has ability at his feet to play the ball neatly and pick out longer passes easily.

He has played LM before so possibly thinking he could play as part of a front 3? Although a midfield 3 of Bruno, Joelinton and Maddison would be more than decent.

It's probably been said but why would we want him if Paqueta is available for a similar price? That seems ridiculous.

Did well tonight in a slightly different position than his usual RW. Although having said that because he was playing through the middle it gave him more licence to roam and he did that very well. Popped up all over the place to help out defensively and also going forward. No reason he can't do the same but in the RW position, him and Tripper down the right would be defensively solid but gives a contrast in attacking styles.

Longstaff and Anderson stood out for sure. Schar also did well and made some very good passes into midfield at times. Almiron looks so much better and was a constant threat both with and without the ball. Would be shocked if Longstaff and Almiron didn't start against Forrest. Anderson may have to wait a little while though unless he goes out on loan.

Very different kinds of player though. Unfair to directly compare them.

Almiron and Fraser in the same team is a little lightweight but they don't half get about and close down well. They earnt that penalty as much an anyone.

Zapata has been decent. Can't imagine he'd come here to be Wilsons understudy, too good for that I think.

Good ball and run there. Murphy really is rapid.

Not keeping the ball very well at all. Shocking at how much we lack composure without Bruno and Wilson.

Most frustrating thing with Wood is how often he come short when he should go in behind and tries to run in behind when he should go short.

Perhaps we'll see Bondswell sooner than we thought?

I'd happily watch it this way. I can do my own commentary, I'm much more interested in what I have to say than Howey.
