Gordon has to be stopped. I mean, how bad he has to be to benched?

Our attacking play is total shit. And it is not just individuals. Lack of ideas if we dont score first.

He need Barnes to play on the left and Murphy or Elanga right. No use to have Gordon on the left because he doesn't do combinations. Wissa can ran offside when AG is dribbling.

We need to have other ideas besides crossing when trying to break down low block. Just getting ball to wingers and hoping they get a decent cross in is not an effective way to attack. Sadly our recruitment has put us in a place where most of our players A) cannot receive the ball in tight areas / between the lines or B) cannot beat their man 1v1 if there is not much room to run into. Then if the plan doesn't work, making like for like replacements doesn't seem like a thing to do.

Of course movement can be trained. Where to run, when to drop deep, when to play first time and where etc. If Joelinton can be turned to midfielder, of course this can be taught the problem with him is we sit so deep and he is too slow to play as a 9 the way Howe wants to use a 9.

I think he really needs a preseason under Howe. He needs work his movement in the box and bulk up a bit.

Barnes and Gordon have had a lot if the ball. Gordon has either given in away of passed it backwards. Woltemade is between 3 CBs. He needs help.

If that means Miley on as RB (Trippier has been awful) and Gordon off then perhaps.

Tonali on or off doesnt change our attacking play in any way. We can push them back but have no idea what to do with it.

I dont get why he gets instructions to come inside. It just slows down everything.

This is clear example why we need technical players up front instead of athletes.
