  1. Please no. No football brain whatsoever.

    Lewis Hall

Well, this turned out to not be the case.
  3. Just need to remember to not drop too deep. Those cutbacks have been dangerous all game.
  4. Ok, Dubs should have came to collect that.
  5. Dubravka was clearly fouled there in that corner.
  6. Willock is totally lost when to press and when not.
  7. Howe has used this hybrid 5-4-1 against Spurs everytime. Last season it was Anderson who moved to defensive line and yesterday Murphy. IIRC Joelinton was doing that at SJP earlier. Interesting choice which certainly will be copied by others.
  8. No, Burn's hand was almost shoulder level.
  9. And when he said he wanted European football that would have worked how exactly?
  10. Yea, I think he would be more useful at least than Wilson. I think he will go to some team that offers him a starting position though.
  11. Just noticed that DCL is with the same agency than Howe, Hall, Livramento and Barnes. Dunno if that means anything but he seems linked to us in every window, so might be just agent offering him around...
  12. I don't value Malen so highly. I think we need brains and not runners on the right side.
  13. For Schär maybe 2 year deal, but it seems he wants to stay and most likely will not get better money (or a place in a better team) elsewhere. So yea, definitely we want to keep him, but his role will be smaller. We will 100% sign a right sided CB this month or in the summer. I don't think Schär will accept a big pay cut, but a year on and he may be reserve CB just playing 5-10 games/season. Kraft might get a deal somewhere true, but he is a fringe player at Newcastle, 4-5th choice CB? 3rd choice RB? We are most likely paying him more than he would get from somewhere (anywhere?) else. Yea, he will get more playing time from let's say promoted team or Championship, France, Germany etc, but these are the last bigger pay checks of his career and he has suffered one major knee injury. He can do 2-3 year deal somewhere after playing here for a year. If he wants to play more, then we cannot keep him anyway. Wilson is a year younger than Schär, and he accepted a 1-year-deal.
  14. Schär and Krafth are easy options to keep from there. One year deal.
  15. I really don't want DCL. Surely Mitchell can get A) a better player B) cheaper from the continent?
  16. Amorim said yesterday that no moves will be made in January (maybe he meant without someone leaving)
  17. Yea, I think he will be backed. He has decided this is the way and seems like he is a man with principles. That is fine. BUT I would have understand if he had gone with say 4-2-3-1 and assess the players, and after this season decides who to keep and what kind of players he needs. Dropping out of Europe totally and ending up like 12th or 14th would be a total disaster for ManU. Trying to get a new formation in with injuries, lots of fixtures and losing every other game is damn tough job The problem wasn't only Eriksen and Casemiro, the problem was you were outnumbered in the middle in 2 different lines. Zirkzee and Martinez were bad, but they really didn't know what to do. Game shifted because Eriksen was pressing much better than Zirkzee, and to be honest you really raised the intensity from the walking pace that it was at first.. It wasn't 3-4-3 even it was 5-2-2-1. Very passive. Something I definitely did not expect from Amorim. And it is true that NUFC midfield is very strong, but it was a bit of training exercise for the first 20 minutes. It is a bit like Angeball somehow.. RA said "It is easy to say we were outnumbered in the middle after the game started", no, it was easy to say before the game. Maybe Mainoo was so injured and he didn't have a choice then.
  18. The whole situation with Amorim and 3-4-3 seems a bit ridiculous. Clearly these players are not suitable for that system, but he decides to stick with it anyway. Surely the manager should first look what he has, and after that decide the formation? Now it seems like he is pushing square pieces to rounds holes and hoping it works. Defending has improved, but my god the attacking is woeful. Hoping for set piece goal.
  19. Just watched the beginning again. Their formation was 5-2-3. They were pressing 3v4 against our backline (3v5 if you count Dubs) they were 2v3 in midfield and either Bruno or Joelinton was in acres of space.. That must be the most defensive and fearful ManU I have ever seen at Old Trafford. Especially against NUFC. I mean, it was soooo easy.
  20. Pretty much perfect results for us today?
  21. Isak really doesn't understand offside rule very well. Always waving the finger after being 5 yards offside
  22. Next goal either kills this game or makes it. We have to be clever, they have not created a thing without our mistakes and most likely we will get more chances on the break.
  23. Spurs have been better, but Wolves' attack is so poor. They are not threatening a lot.
  24. Wasn't that a clear foul? Andre clips Johnson's legs and is nowhere near the ball.
