This is exactly it, our opportunistic approach has been successful so far. We seem to have very clear valuations of players as well and don’t seem to be interested in paying much further than that which is fair enough, people talk about ‘Saudi tax’ but it’s absolutely a thing. Being as rich as we are is a blessing as much as a curse when it comes to transfers, especially being in a PSR position where we can’t offer silly money yet.

Most of the stuff we hear is just the same old crumbs thrown around by agents and journos, alot of it is just noise 100%. We defo wanted Pedro and Ekitike, we chased them since 22’ or perhaps even earlier. I do feel that we were aware that a move for Ekitike would draw out Liverpool though, we would have loved both him and Isak but as it all played out it looks like we end up keeping our main established striker. People obsess about all the transfer stuff (understandably so sometimes) and it just ends up like a mad house on here It is entertaining though.

For the amount of money quoted it just all felt a bit off for me, he’s going to be a great player in this league though imo. Maybe we boxed clever over this.

Wissa is a dead link man, wrong profile. Good player though.

Literally 9 times out of ten with big deals like these, if the players wants the move it will happen. You couldn’t begrudge Isak that either.

We knew this was coming either this summer or next, the Ekitike stuff has probably moved it along and Liverpool are trying it. It will be a true test of our ambitions to keep him.

If it’s really for around 60m then I will start to believe.. I expected them to want more. For anyone thinking we would look at him to rotate/compete with Isak you are wrong, he’ll be played with Isak much like we wanted Pedro to. Looks as if we defo want to move into a change of formation, exciting stuff.

This would be insanity, actually would maybe even prefer him over Pedro. Im still not convinced we drop the money that they’d want though.

Gallagher has a pretty incredible fitness record, he’s always available and at 25 years old has never actually been injured. Can’t overlook that.

He was/is deemed shit by most on here, I never understood why he was so underrated. He is ready made for this side and would be a great signing.
