He was so good under Howe for the first full season, a shame the manner of his injuries can and have literally ruined a good career. As others have said, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear he’s struggled mentally with being off the pitch for so long. Howe had him playing in a pretty unique way for us for that first 4th season, he repeatedly made many intelligent runs per game and generally caused havoc in the middle for other teams. We saw the best of him for a good season at least.

I like this signing and I think most of you lot will to before long. He could well end up being number 1 pretty quickly.
