I thought this would happen next summer, and may still do tbh. Best case scenario is we get rid to PSG for £150m within the next week, gives us time, keeps him out of the PL and nets us a very solid fee. Good luck to him, an incredible player who’s earned the right to make his money and win trophies. And those two things are the only real loyalty in football.

Obviously keeping Isak would be the ideal scenario.

Howe has said about what you'd expect him to say, although I was surprised to see he sent Isak home or whatever. Its just the old 'hes happy here BUT..' line, its all he can say really. The reality is he could leave or he could stay and Howe cant say for sure which way it will go, if he does leave Howe will probably be the first to understand why a player might make that decision because careers are short in this game.
