Toxic ego has been seeping into our fanbase post takeover, it’s sad but inevitable man
-
Or he signs a new contract It’s a risky play, Parish has a history of these
-
Parish and palaces end in general knew exactly what they were doing, tough negotiator who knows we hate deals going public so used it to his advantage to try and push the deal along and force the price up as much as he could. Clever cunt.

Came here to say pretty much the same, you can guarantee Guehi was Howes top choice and it’s not looking likely now.. you’ve gotta wonder how this might go down between management. Him starting tonight doesn’t change a whole lot, but obviously suggests that a deal isn’t imminent. This thread will be hilarious tonight
-
Whether it’s Guehi or not, theres absolutely no chance we don’t bring in at least a CB. I know most on here have turned feral as far as transfers go, but I feel like we’ll all have reason to be pleased by the time the window closes.

Going back to your old club second game in and having to deal with Semenyo, he’s probably had better days like. He will still be starting most of our games at LB this season, as Ive said before he’s everything that Howe likes about Burn there and more. Most importantly he’s a physical upgrade, but retains that height advantage when we shift into a 3.

Joe has had a shocker today
-
Silly from Joelinton
-
Both teams lacking that killer moment in the final third
-
I can’t help but feel the second choice is likely a fair step down in terms of being a known quantity and ability.. but you’re right. The clock is ticking now.
-
And unfortunately for us in a way, the same reason he won’t force it through from his end.
-
Reminds me a lot of Leicesters Fatawu, he’d kill the championship but needs a lot of growth to be effective in this league
-
So very raw, people saying he would have started now over Miggy or Murphy need a word with themselves
-
That might be the worst PL defending I’ve ever seen
-
There must be a scapegoat for not making a big signing yet this summer It doesn’t matter who, what or where.. we need to be upset at someone. Barnes had a freak injury and then did great for us, another quality opportunistic signing. Everyone will come to appreciate him more as time goes on. So much being said about what we do or don’t need right now, because all good squads are built on just signing your absolute priority all the time.. who needs strength in depth anymore?
-
Ive only ever seen him play once (vs us) so no idea how good he really is, but accepting 15+5 from Ipswich with one week of the window left would suggest no other club valued him any higher either.
-
Ignore that then admittedly I’ve never seen the guy play
-
If he can actually come off of his line and allow us to press like we know we can he’s worth a go over Dubs.
-
It’s not always about what we currently need most, this management seize the opportunity for the right player at the right time they are available. Obviously we have a list of priorities in terms of positions to strengthen but you can’t work your way from top to bottom on the list all the time, if this player is rated by us and is available on the right deal it absolutely makes sense to move for him. Its as important to think mid-long term as it is to think in the right here right now.

The clamour for flashy foreign signings clouds judgement on here often, I feel like much of our fanbase are more emotionally attached to these types of signings for some reason
-
Not convinced we are even seriously looking at him, but takes like these are narrow minded and arrogant..
