One of the flattest games and atmospheres I’ve seen from us in a while, still we got a comfy result

Yeah of course, he wouldn’t have been signed from Burnley for £12m (or whatever it was). It’s nice to dream though, he’d be one of the world’s most complete keepers with feet. He might be the best shot stopper in the league as it is, his injury was really concerning but so far he seems there or there about as he was before.. it’s good to see.

It’s not such an issue with Schar and Botman available, but without I can’t help find thinking how badly we lack a keeper with feet. I actually expected we might sign one in the summer especially after Popes injury. But I’m with you, there arnt many other keepers in the league I’d swap him with. Just imagine he was even half capable at actually playing football though.

First win of the season yesterday. I don’t bet that often and when I do it’s usually silly 500/1s for with a quid or something, I take in a lot of football while working from home and have a punt on some of dead games to make them interesting but told myself I’d do a few more realistic accas this season

He is, so much untapped potential with him and PSG were going to be an unlikely club to extract it. Still understand why he went for that move. Had he come here or somewhere like Frankfurt back in 2022 he could by now be close to that same big move to an elite club that he made but as an established player. I think he’ll get there, he has alot of room to grow.

Could you imagine him on our right.. he was my pick of players that I wanted us to sign during the summer.

Fortunately he’s not physically limited so with time and development on his mental side of the game he could iron a lot of those struggles out, he’ll get better at it.

He will have Trippier-esque progressive passing numbers by the end of the season and better carries to. So glad to see him defensively well today - was a good match up for B Silva.

It’s been an improvement, wonder if he gives Osula a chance later on here

Such a shame that Isak is likely out of the same game that Rodri and KDB are, as no way does he start Osula here. I feel like we’ll lack structure today without a striker and the shape will suffer. Fortunately this is a game where we might have expected to have less of the ball anyway, so that could take the edge off. No doubt Eddie has had them working on it.

That’s the most honest interview he’s given here, no protecting anyone he just said it how it is. Think we’ll see a solid reaction tomorrow

It’s not just one player though is it, when the likes of Gordon, Bruno and Isak all look slack at the same time it runs a bit deeper than just a lack of effort from a single player
