    Joelinton

I just got news that he scored today, am I high or dreaming and don't know?

    Matt Targett

Wearing Cafu's shirt! Btw that kit for me is one of the best Brazil ever had, specially the keepers (green with gold stripes)
  3. This shirt was on the highlight of ESPN Brasil today!
  4. You guys should make a countdown on the title of this thread. Something like "16 points to go" at the end (if 40 pts is enough to escape relagation on the EPL i'm not sure)
  5. I had forgotten about the game (thought it was tomorow) but great result!
  6. Tagliafico is getting old man, would be too much of a short term signing for a LB, I think that if you keep Targett and bring in Lodi you're gold. If not, go after Theo Hernandez, NUFC has the money for it
  7. I was talking more about the type of runs Bruno does but
  8. Another thing, even tho he's not that pacey, you can't deny his positional awareness, look at both runs he made while ASM was with the ball last game and one in this too, he was free to score in both but ASM chose to shoot. Today he gave ASM the option for a pass 2 or 3 times in the same play before ASM decided to shoot
  9. Pirlo, and Xavi werent that athletic either, just saying. He's an "orchestrator" type of player, think the like's of the two above, Kroos, even Modric now that he's older, he'll make the runs, but he will not be that pacey, nor will be running that much with the ball, his game is more focused on making the ball run, finding that last pass before the assist, inverting the play, that's where he shines.
  10. I'm gonna drop the bomb, he never was the paciest player and probably never will be, I told you guys that the EPL transition will take some time, since the tempo of the league is high every single game and he never played at that level outside the UCL. Let him adapt, Howe is doing the right thing, he probably would have come in a lot sooner today if those injuries hadn't happened. Like some people here said, he will play, give EH time, he seems to know what he's doing and most importantly, looks like he has the locker room in his hands, that's one of the best traits a manager can have, if he loses that you guys will go back to a poor run even with all the signings
  11. That shot from ASM, I thought it was going in! What a goal it would be!
  12. Palmeiras fans are pulling their wheight, chanting non-stop as any crowd should in a game like this.
  13. Neto is available at Barcelona, basicaly spent he's whole carrer as a world class bench goalkeeper. Buffon, Ter Stegen etc. Could be a good short-term signing. I'd also take a look at Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce, he's a turkish international, is only 23 and he's huge 1,98.
  14. Imagine, Shlevey, Bruno and Tielemans, what a trio!
  15. Well, as long as I have something to share why not post it? @LRD Had forgotten to reply you, our "owner"(president since 95) says it's because it's suposed to be a multi-events arena and that the fans should color it, but I call BS, he's always been keen on sharing our stadium with Coritiba to manage costs togheter since theirs is a dump, but they were too proud to accept it. He actually DM'ed me, nice lad! I remember that fight, was a game against Vasco played in Joinville, the fight was awful, they were being relegated and we were like 4 goals ahead I believe, their hooligans (best term I can use, honestly) invaded our side of the stadium but not the side that our hooligans were (we have organized fan clubs here that are hooligan like) they were running towards our women and children, than our fans quickly ran towards them to intercept and all hell broke loose. I honestly tought someone was gonna die that day. You have no idea man, when we have all 42000 seats ocupied is madening Lol, that way I'm going to get full of myself Thx mate! Almost every stadium in Brazil has great atmosphere. Every single one has a group of fans we call bateria that plays samba-like instruments on the stadium (I used to be part of my colege Bateria actually and played in a Samba School too). Tbh the difference our fans have over most others is that since we're a medium club (we used to be really small till 95 and never looked back since we started growing) we also only demand a club that tries (love that photo of the banner on your stadium) and chant the whole 90 minutes if our players at least have the guts to try, when we get big titles is a really big ocasion, were only 1 time league title winners, 1 time brazilian cup winners and 2 times sulamericana winners (europa league like)the rest of our titles are regionals and small tournaments. Btw, I haven't really found a clip that shows what I mean by the atmosphere in Baixada, specially if you consider that the pitch is only 6m from the stands. . This one KINDA translates what I mean, specially when we have 40voices chanting togheter. this one we're telling Coxa (coritiba) to take it up their asses, the music is based on another brick in the wall. Also the skulls on our stands are really famous around brazil as well (and they're REALLY heavy). There are some players who said on tv that they're scary from the pitch.

    Kieran Trippier

I'd say maybe in world football, the way he dictates the whole mood team is amazing.
  17. From this list Rafinha and Gallagher are the players I'd go, specially Gallegher, like Sarr too. If Rafinha is not possible I'd go for Antony. I quite like Zouma as a defender too, but after he kicked that cat I imagine he's being cancelled. Outside the EPL if I were Howe i'd go for Gianluca Mancini as a CB and CDM (plays both) or to Florian Grillitsch as a CDM and i'd also check Altay Bayindir to replace Dubravka as well. Lodi as a LB would be a dream, having Bruno and Lodi on the same team would mean you'd have 2 amazing players who know each other well on the pitch and are best friends too your squad, so the probability of both playing amazingly well would only increase. Other players I'd look into are Ceballos, Josep Aidoo (CB from Vigo), Tino Livramento (promissing RB, playing for Southampton), and Adeyemi from Salzburg. Caio Henrique (LB) and Calum Chambers would be recomendations too, but they were just transfered.
  18. I don't think he was that hyped in Santos, many considered just lucky to have a good team around him. But anyway, I still think Cunha is a better prospect, he at least can play in top tier football, even if Simeone has gone full nuts this season. About Bruno, has to start but where?
  19. I actually don't think Gabigol is that talented tbh, if he played in ANY other team he woudn't be so hyped. Also, he comes with the worst personality type too, for a player who coudn't start on the portuguese league he think's too much of himself.
  20. Today I'm gonna present you Arena da Baixada, Athletico Paranaense's stadium, it's considered the most modern stadium in Latin America since 99, even after the 2014 world cup when we got arenas all over the country ours is still a standout, it's the only one with a retractable roof on Latin America. First the version I knew in 1996 as a kid, common stadium for the era in Brazil. In 97 we tore it all down and in 99 were debuting this version of the stadium (thats the 05 version with the lower opositte stands build (there was a wall there at first) and with chairs on every seat. Now we have the 2014 WC version: The new stadium is amazing, but lacks our colors (100% gray) and the new food is shit, in the 99 version there were so many options for amazing food, now the whole stadium sells the same shitty food. Gonna leave a few videos, first a tour of the stadium and then a few of us making noise. You're gonna understand why I said Bruno is gonna feel at home with the noise and atmosphere NUFC fans can create on St.James The tour (coudn't find a english version, sorry) And a few videos of game days (second video covers some games played almost 20years ago, all raw footage from the stands) A few videos of this years Brazilian cup final, we had lost the first game 4x0 but our fans are insane and always chant 90min no matter what, even the national tv was talking about how crazy the atmosphere was. The last video was made by the club, and the club-fans relationship is REALLY poor, so it's amazing we got one of those. and last but not least, the roof opening and closing:
  21. He's a good player, has more of a offensive presence than Bruno tbh, but he's really overrated in Brazil because of his stint in Flamengo, they treated him in media like he was the best brazilian CM in the world on his stint in Flamengo, even demanding him to start for Brazil, always liked Bruno better but I'm suspect to say, Bruno has given my club 2 of it's 4 major titles being a protagonist.
  22. Btw, Gerson has started to play well enough for Marseille and the brazillian media is pissing itself all over him already. Playing for Flamengo really is a blessing, gives you media attention the rest of your life in Brazil
  23. Chicharito was way classier, he assisted he's own header!
