I think the same. Partly because of the FFP constraints, partly because January usually offers pretty poor value but mainly because I think we're going to keep our powder dry until the summer. I'm not saying they'll treat this season as a write-off but I can see the sense in getting through this season as best we can, we've had the bonus of (minimum) six CL games and the income that brings, so we invest well in the summer and start the 24/25 season with a considerably more talented and extensive squad than started 22/23 and make top 4/5 the clear target.

Not sure about this season but I think this calendar year he's missed 7 games, they've won 2 and lost 5.

Was always going to be a challenge with European football added to our schedule, even without the injuries. I had hoped Howe and his team would have prepared a plan B in cases where either plan A isn't working or we don't have the energy to pull it off effectively. Obviously not.

If they got a WSL team at home could they play at SJP or would the turnaround be too quick seeing as the men are at home the day before?

Barnes and Wilson coming back is a massive boost. Being able to give Isak/Gordon the odd 60-65mins rather than 90+ every game could make a huge difference.

We aren't signing Osimhen because Isak is our Osimhen. We can debate whether we agree or not but that's how the club see him, so if we're signing a forward it'll be someone to take some of the load from him, not replace him as CF on a regular basis.

Same as us last season, either side of the Cup Final. They have a tough run in the new year as the European games start up again, let's see how they go. They've been mightily impressive and are where they are on merit, but we're still within touching distance despite missing an entire XI and juggling one of the toughest CL groups in recent memory.

Looks like he took over a newly promoted team, finished 10th first season and currently 5th in the second season. On the face of it, that sounds quite impressive although I know nothing about him, his team or the league they're playing in.

Depends on his weighting between "contribution and potential payoff". Presumably he's going more for the latter which is why Wood (who scored some crucial goals) is behind Hall (who is still very much a project and at best 3rd choice LB) and Minteh (who hasn't played for us at all)
