It’s a bit disingenuous to say it’s due to brexit. The FA have introduced this new rule as they think it will stop young English kids getting pushed out of the academies for European boys. the FA feel this puts the English kids at an advantage and will help bring through more players for the England national team. brexit gave the FA the opportunity to rewrite their rules, but it’s a bit of a stretch to say it’s due to brexit.
